Freemasonry - making good men better

Charge - Be very cautious whom you recommend as a candidate for mem-
bership. One false step on this point may be fatal. If you introduce a disputa-
tious person, confusion will be produced which may end in the dissolution of
the lodge. If you have a good lodge, keep it select. Great numbers are not al-
ways beneficial.
Masonic Hall,
Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Fraternal regards & greetings
Dear Sir and Brother,
You are requested to attend the duties of the Lodge on Tuesday 19th
November 2019 at 6.30 pm precisely, this being a regular meeting.
By Command of the Worshipful Master 1/11/2019
Bro. T. Winson Secretary
Dress:- Dark suit, black shoes, white collar, black or craft tie, and white gloves.
It’s what we do !! - as recorded in the UGLE Quartely Communications of June 2019
W Bro Roger Michell, at over seventy-one years of age has walked with his wife Linda from
Freemasons’ Hall, Shrewsbury, to Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street and arrived yesterday (11th
June). The walk has taken twelve days and over two-hundred and forty miles. The object is to
celebrate Shropshire’s 2019 Festival in aid of The Grand Charity. His walk completes a series of
walks around Shropshire with a total over one-thousand miles.
I believe the total raised is in excess of one thousand pounds

Royal Arch Masonry
The next regular step for the Master Mason—AFTER THE THIRD DEGREE
As a Master Mason, you may well feel that you have completed the basic teaching of Freemasonry.
The three Craft degrees give the impression that they are self-contained and complete, however,
Royal Arch supplements the teaching of the three Craft degrees.
The Royal Arch is organised as a separate Order of Freemasonry distinct from the Craft degrees, yet
it complements the teaching of the Craft, which can only be truly appreciated by those who have
joined the Royal Arch. Indeed, the Royal Arch is described as both the foundation and keystone of
the whole Masonic structure; it is regarded as “the root, heart and marrow of Freemasonry”.
WHY JOIN ROYAL ARCH?
The Royal Arch is the culmination of "pure ancient masonry”. The Craft gives its members
eminently practical rules by which they can live their lives in the service of both God, however they
worship Him, and the community as a whole.
HOW TO JOIN ROYAL ARCH
The prime qualification for admission into the Royal Arch is to be a Master Mason, of at least
four weeks standing, in a Lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England, or a Lodge under a
Grand Lodge recognised by it.
As in all other Masonic Orders you will need a proposer and seconder who are members of the
Chapter in which you seek to be exalted. If your Lodge does not have a Royal Arch Chapter
attached to it, check your Lodge summons which may give details of either the Chapter attached
to it, or the member of the Lodge who is a Royal Arch Mason who will assist members interested
in joining the Royal Arch.
