Head of School Update
DATES FOR THE DIARY
It never ceases to amaze me the talent and the brilliance of our children here at TGS. When visiting classrooms they are so proud of their work and what they are learning. All of my staff rightly go above and beyond on a dai-ly basis to ensure all children have the best life opportunities. Please see pages 3-5!!!

Whole School Assembly on Thursday —’Australia Day’
Our fantastic Australian teacher, Miss Langlois celebrated ‘Australia
Day’ with all of our students holding a fun packed whole assembly on
Thursday. Students mimicked Australian accents, tested their Australi-
an general knowledge and even tried some ‘Vegimite’ (some facial ex-
pression were priceless). We also had a Year 8 band performing and
Head Girl and Head Boy both performed as well!!!

The first TGS event of the Five-0 Fundraising Project, which is raising funds for St Catherine’s Hospice, took place this week with a fantastic football tournament. The random draw ironically produced a strong team which went on to win 12-7 in the final. Well done to Isaac, Shavaar, Shane, Liam and Joe and con-gratulations to Shavaar who scored the most goals in the tournament. On Monday 30th January, sponsorship forms will be issued to all students in school for the Fun Run which will take place on Monday 6th February. Students are asked to get as many sponsors as possible and have the money collected by Thursday 9th February. Lastly, don't forget the cake sale next Friday the 3rd of February at lunch time. Any donations of cakes are welcome. Thank you from the student who organise the Five-0 events. Mr Shah.
