Every so often we feel it is

important to formally acknowledge

and highlight the wonderful work

that our chaplain, Chezelle, does at

our school. Chezelle works in a

very quiet yet effective way to

support staff, students and families,

in a multitude of ways. Chezelle also

organizes programs such as cooking,

friendship chats and Junior School

competitors, we are a relatively

small school which makes the

efforts of all students even more

impressive.

Thank you to Miss Nyman, Mrs

Kemp and Miss Fleming for their

great coaching, passion and

organisation. You have all worked

extremely hard to provide the

students at Launch with the

opportunity to participate in such a

worthwhile sport!

There were lots of videos and

photographs being taken. Just a

Aerobics Well done to all of our aerobics

participants who attended the State

championships at Geelong on

Saturday. The support offered by

parents, grandparents, aunties,

uncles and friends is outstanding.

Our teams did exceptionally well,

with two teams, DARK KNIGHTS

(Grade 5 boys) and POPSTARS

(Grade 3 girls), advancing to the

National championships at the Gold

Coast. The high level of

enthusiasm, dedication and expertise

of all our aerobics teams is truly

amazing. When looking at our

show you, up-close, the work that

goes into keeping endangered alpine

species like the Mountain Pygmy

Possum and Northern Corroboree

Frog safe.

We’ve also got plenty of places to

keep you warm. Head to our warm

open fires and hear classic

Australian kids’ stories.

Murrundindi, in his possum skin

cloak, won’t be far away waiting to

share Dreaming stories and

demonstrate traditional fire-stick,

fire making.

Be enchanted by a Magical Winter

Wonderland!

This winter, put on your warm

winter woollies, gumboots or snow

gear, and visit the Sanctuary to

experience faux snow play every

day of the school holidays!

Keep an eye out for our ‘Puddle

Zones’ and get ready to enjoy all the

natural fun of winter in your

gumboots! Then, meet the ‘Ice

Queen’ as she helps you to discover

how animals survive and keep warm

in winter.

The Healesville team will be waiting

for your visit 'Cool Conservation' to

exciting term with major events

taking place including our school

production.

We would like to wish all members

of our school community an

enjoyable and safe term break.

extremely productive term. Please

conducted an experiment using

Coke and Mentos to write a

procedure for. In Maths we have

been continuing to work on fractions

including mixed and improper

fractions. In Integrated studies we

completed our Solar system

PowerPoint presentations and

discussed the size and shape of

Earth, the Sun and the Moon.

Grade 5/6: We have looked at grids

in Maths and played Battleships to

help us learn. We enjoyed having all

our specialists during planning week

and played Interschool sports

against Yarra Junction on Friday.

There has been a positive focus on

‘Following Instructions’. Well done

to all of our Aerobics competitors.

You represented our school and

yourselves well.

School Captain’s Report Prep: Our CAFÉ reading strategy

this week has been ‘I ask questions

about a text when reading!’ We

started thoughtful Thursday writing

where we brought in something

special from home to write about. In

Maths we did a think board about

the number 10 and learnt about

ordinal numbers from 1st to 10th.

We also did more work on addition

and did another Blitzmaster.

Grade 1/2: We had an awesome time

at Healesville Sanctuary. In CAFÉ

we’ve been expanding our

vocabulary and looking at

interesting words. We have continue

to work on our narrative stories and

our animal projects. In Maths, we

have finished looking at subtraction

and will begin looking at

measurement. We are continuing to

improve in Blitzmasters.

Grade 3/4: This week we continued

writing procedural texts and

forgotten uniforms are to be

displayed in the foyer. Please

go through these items to

collect your child’s

belongings. Anything not

collected will be donated to

charity. Parents please

increases the chance of these

A locally run scheme, providing warm, nurturing care to

small groups of children

At Lets Go Family Day Care, we put the "Family" into Family

Day Care.

Children are cared for in a warm, safe, homely environment

that consists of only a small group of children.

We have vacancies for care in Warburton, Yarra Junction, Wesburn and Millgrove.

Our educators are qualified and trained to provide the best possible care for your child. Each

educator is monitored and supported by our coordination unit, to enable them to continually grow

professionally within themselves.
