Attendance has improved again in the last fortnight and is edging closer to our school target of 96%. The last fortnight’s attendance Vigure for Reception - Year 6 was 95.6%. We look forward to having a really great end of term. Every day counts! The latest class attendance Vigures are: Year 3: 98.83% Year 6L: 97.93% Year 1A: 97.83% Year 4: 96.85% Year 5: 96.38% Year 2: 96.33 Year 6J: 96.33% Reception D: 95.83% Reception R: 95.33% Year 1E: 84.42% Safeguarding Safeguard - to protect from harm or damage with an appropriate measure The clocks have changed and so, as well as the lighter evenings, we are hoping to see a bit more sunshine and enjoy time outside. On that note, please do talk to your child about road safety so they are kept safe whilst out and about. Please do remind your child/children to look both ways when they cross the road (even on a one way street like Ashmead Road). We will be talking about this in school also. Thanks for your co-operation (our current school value!) Magic Breakfast From next term we are delighted to be partnering with Family Action and Magic Breakfast to provide a new (free!) breakfast provision before school. Playground breakfast bagels will soon be available every day, offering every child great fuel for learning. Research has shown that children who have a healthy breakfast achieve more at school – make sure your child doesn’t miss out! Bagels will be available every morning from 8.45am and we will stop serving at 8.55am so please make sure your child is in school before that time! Available to all children, and it’s totally free! We are launching our Playground Bagels Breakfast on Wednesday 24th April; so on that day we are welcoming parents to join us for a playground bagel! We look forward to seeing you for breakfast. Update As you will know, we had a break in last night and have spent the day with the police and clearing up the school in preparation for the children to return to school tomorrow (Tuesday). Many thanks to the parents who offered kind words and offers of help this morning. What a wonderful school community - thank you!
