TRAINING PROGRAMME ON DAIRY FARM MANAGEMENT AT KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA BARAMATI On an average this KVK conducts 50 to 60 need- based training programs in a year for farmers, farmwomen & rural youth. 40-50% of them are long duration trainings. The KVK has purchased more than 50 educational audio visual aids to make the training activities more effective. More emphasis has been given on long duration self employment oriented training for school dropouts & unemployed rural youth Many participants on completion of the training have been Successfully self employed by way of establishing their own poultry, Goatery, Nursery Dairy & sericulture unit. Efforts have also been concentrated to empower the women component technically as they play a very vital role in agricultural operations. Few training programme should be in English/Hindi medium for outstate candidates. Duration of training programme is 4 days.

Training fee including lodging & boarding is Rs. 1500/-

Training programme includes Dairy farm visits, CD shows, training material, lectures of subject

matter specialists & discussion with experts etc.

Training fees should be sent by DD in favour of “Agricultural Development Trust’s Krishi Vigyan

Kendra, Baramati”.

Training will be arranged only after attaining strength of 15 candidates (who submitted D.D.) &

the minimum period of starting training is 3 months after submission of D.D. at K.V.K., Baramati. (Forth coming training programme for dairy farming in English language is scheduled in month of

September 01 to 04 th, 2010 ,for this programme D.D. should be sent at K.V.K., Baramati up to20th August ,

2010).
