We bless you, O God, who has given us life, for the wonders of creation. We thank you for the richness of the fields, for the power of growth and the goodness we gain from crops, for all we produce for ourselves and for the world. We give thanks for the miracle of seed and germination, of growth and ripening; for the abundance of water and good air; for the progress of the seasons; and for the skills and talents with which you have endowed us.We thank you for the abundance we enjoy – abundance that allows us, encourages us, commands us to share your plenty with one another, especially strangers.Thank you, O God, for the food we eat and the friends with whom we share it, for the love and care of families, and for all the joys shared therein. We thank you, O God, who has given us life itself. As we gather at table, O Christ, feed us with food for our souls.Through this bread and through this grape juice, may your blessings flow, taking what we say and do here as our communion in and through you, uniting us as one by the Spirit’s power. We pray, trusting in the welcoming embrace of your grace. Amen.

Breaking the Bread and Pouring the CupSharing the Bread and Cup Prayer After Communion (Unison)You have invited us to your table, O Christ, from all over the world. You continue to invite us to share new life by the whispers of the Spirit. You bless us now and always within God’s abundant grace. By sharing this meal, we welcome your transformation into our living. Our thanks overflow as our hearts join one with the other. Amen.

* Closing Hymn “Forth In Thy Name” verses 1,2,5 # 416* Commissioning and Benediction

* Sung Blessing & Amen “Go Now In Peace” (see inside cover of Voices United)
