NebuchadnezzarNabonidasBelshazzar

Under Nabonidus other ‘gods’ were brought in – a cosmetic ecumenicism

By the rivers of Babylon…

They wanted a return to their cruel, blood-thirsty god, where they were all-powerful

They plotted…

And while Belshazzar defiled Israel’s holy vessels & God wrote on the wall…

The priests opened the Ishtar Gate* and let in Cyrus, king of Medes-Persians – w/o a fight

* Btw – Ishtar? There’s your Easter…

And 200 million demons were loosed upon the world to take them back to the god of Babylon…

Revelation 16:12 the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water

thereof was dried up…

Revelation 9:14-16 the sixth angel sounded. Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates… the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand. [200 million]

“Spiritual horses, spiritual devils, chargers, that had been bound in Euphrates all these years, supernatural devils.

Loosed upon what? Not upon the denominations, upon the Bride.

They're supernatural devils unseen to the eye, but you can see what they're doing… smothering out, tramping out everything that's called God.”

By the rivers of Babylon…

In the midst of a kingdom that ruled the Earth

In the midst of an oasis, and an ancient man-made wonder

Israel wept for a dream, now lost, but not forgotten

Israel didn’t know it, but God began to move…

Daniel 10:13…But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me

Page 13: Rivers babylon

For twenty one days the angels fought:

Daniel kept praying and waiting for an answer

He kept waiting for the seals to be loosed and the book to open

He kept waiting for the revelation that had been kept a mystery – when would Israel be free??

For twenty one days the angels fought:

Israel wept

Israel Prayed

Jeremiah and his people cried out to return to Zion, to the fields their father David bought & that Jeremiah had bought BEFORE they went in to captivity… Jeremiah 32:6-15

Page 15: Rivers babylon

Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

The Sealed Book - Scroll

Jeremiah was a TYPE of Christ: After captivity in Babylon, he reclaims His purchased possession…

With the taking of the scroll, Christ has been committed the lordship over the world (1 Peter 3:22; Philippians 2:9-11).  What the Devil pretentiously offered to Jesus is now rightfully assumed (Matthew 4:8).

The scroll and the finalization of the redemptive process would thus signify the rightful transfer of dominion back to Christ – “the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord…” (Revelation 11:15).

The Kinsman Redeemer

This roll is a legal document after the ancient form and custom (See Jeremiah 32:6-15). Jesus has the part of the near kinsman (Leviticus 25:49) and ours is the part of the one having lost his inheritance.

The Redeemer must be both worthy, willing and able to loose the seals, reveal the contents, clear the title and restore the inheritance to its lawful heirs.  Jesus is qualified and competent. He is willing (“I lay my life down…”) He is worthy because He is the sinless Lamb once slain. He is able being the Lion of Judah. (Revelation4:9-10) Thus this whole scene in Revelation 5 is a scene of Jesus fulfilling the part of Kinsman Redeemer.

The Final Redemptive Act

The ceremony is a solemn and formal occasion that consummates the right of redemption. It is performed before the elders of Israel’s twelve tribes and the elders of Christendom’s twelve Apostles.

We MUST visualize this scene, this final scene in Heaven:

Revelation 4 - I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. 4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. 5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Page 22: Rivers babylon

Revelation 4 - 6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. 7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Page 23: Rivers babylon

Revelation 5 - 1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

Page 24: Rivers babylon

Revelation 5:5 - And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Page 25: Rivers babylon

Revelation 5 - 6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb...

The Final Redemptive Act

Without a worthy Kinsman Redeemer to perform the final act, all was lost…

And all heaven wept…

The LAMB left the mercy seat, stood, and loosed the seals!!
