• Learn from maintenance best practices, reliability centered maintenance, total productive maintenance and cost-effective inspection and maintenance.• Upgrade your Operations Management System, adapt world class maintenance strategies, Reduce Business Complexity, Optimize Maintenance and Reliability• Gain valuable insight from top industry best speakers - sharing of case studies, best practices and challenges.• Meet the entire industry under one roof – unrivalled industry networking.

KEYBENEFIT

Today, business world is very challenging and competitive. The difference between success and failure can be decided by the performance of your ma-chines and facilities. Poor maintenance will cost organization a lot of money for repairs, high downtime and low production rate, eventually.

Maintenance has been around as long as humans existed. From routine activity like sharpening of hunting tools until modern maintenance as we know today. Like many other things, maintenance too has undergone evolu-tion as time passed. Traditional approach which is reactive maintenance has been replaced by preventive and proactive maintenance.

A lot of factors contributing to successful maintenance. In this 2-day confer-ence, you will be guide through maintenance essentials such as maintenance management strategies and leadership, application of latest technology in maintenance, maintenance of electrical equipment in plant and world class reliability workshop among others. Other than that, maintenance manage-ment such as PdM, TPM & RCM will be presented from industry practi-tioners’ point-of-view. This conference is specially designed to address the areas that are pivotal to industries and organizations in order to practice a proper maintenance plan thus achieving reliable plants!

He researches primarily in machine learning and deep learning, which con-tributes to Big Data Stack Development that provides Predictive Deployment for Industrial practices.

One of his present research examines the implementation of Predictive Maintenance, using specific machine learning concepts and use cases to predict the outcome of monitor-ing the condition of equipment as it is operating. Prior to this, he was the Co-Founder and the Director of Data Ana-lytics Centre at the HELP University and has 15 years of Cor-porate Banking experience in Malaysia.

Geoffrey is a Certified Enterprise Data Scientist that holds an MBA (Strategic Execution & Change) from Strathclyde Busi-ness School, Glasgow, and his Bachelor studies were major in Accounting & Finance from Murdoch, WA. He is in his final year of pursuing his 2nd Master Degree in Supply Chain Management from Malaysia Institute of Supply Chain Inno-vation (MISI), a member of the MIT Global SCALE (Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence) Network.

Deploying AI for Predictive Maintenance to Improve Equipment Reliability Per-formance (by Geoffrey Kee)Predictive Maintenance (PdM) model starts from the identification of critical components in an asset. The model predicts the health, or reliability, of the identified components based on historical events and the current condition of the identified components with their subcomponents. The PdM model then formulates a recommendation comprising of a prioritized list of actions such that the overall health of the asset can be improved.

This presentation will discuss on the process and the challenges in constructing the Predictive Maintenance in order to extend the reliability of any assets today. What are the key roles of IoT in this subject? You will find out in this presentation.

[Masterclass] Asset Management System (AMS) Engineering Imple-mentation Towards Maintenance Excellence (by Ahmed Syed Kotb)

Maintenance excellence is one of the most important goals of the asset intensive organizations. There are many elements, factors and enablers that are required to achieve this goal.

One of the most important tools to achieve maintenance excellence is a successfully designed and implemented efficient Asset Management System /CMMS. Many organizations have imple-mented AMS/CMMS but unfortunately few were successful.

This masterclass will show the roadmap for how to engineer and design the AMS implementation to fulfil the business requirements and achieve the mainte-nance excellence goal.

The challenges at each of the implementa-tion stages, deep insights and best practic-es will be explained by an expert who was responsible for the implementation of the AMS for mega projects that involved more than 180,000 new assets.

FOURTH WISDOM ON MAINTENANCEThere is no silver bullet solution or rocket science program and strategy that can transform a plant’s reliability overnight, all will start with its basic foundation and that is through education. Remember that reliability is not a program with an end but a culture that never ends. It is the same as any other continuous improvement philosophy – Rolly Angeles

Condition Based Monitoring for Electrical Equipment in Plant (by Ir. Mohd Shamsul)

According to the current situation and periodical inspections of elec-trical equipment, suggestion of procedure for performing diagno-sis and maintenance. The condi-tion-based diagnosis process uses some of the current diagnosis methods (e.g. oil test, DGA, PD, IR, etc.) to determine the condition of the electrical equipment. In this process, we don’t use all of the diagnostic methods in the first step, but rather we suggest some methods step by step based on the electrical equipment condition.

Why Fail at Bolted Joint Assembly? (by Prince Ng)

As more and more leakages occur in Oil and Gas industry nowadays compare to last 10 years, and we can’t always go “More Torque”, “Change the stud bolts”, “Change the gasket”, etc. and hope to see the leak would be able to sustain until the next maintenance. Have we run a diag-nostic test on it, or at least at the flange level since most of the leakage occur at flanges area?

Cost of Prevent Leak (with actual Root Cause Analysis) is always lower than cost of fighting Leak!

Mr. Prince will present some of his findings and views in today’s Oil and Gas Joint Integrity Industry. What are the GAPS that clients and service providers can bridge for improvement and most importantly, safety!

Mr. Rusli Ab.Wahab, 56 years of age has developed his specialty in Plant Maintenance from relevant disci-plines for 30 years contributing to the industry right from manufacturing, construction, inspection and test-ing toward commissioning for reliable state of plant ready for operational activities. Currently, he engages in training for plant and engineering maintenance as individual after completing employment contract with his last employer INSTEP Petronas Kuala Terengganu.

He also involved substantially in power and energy sector including renewable energy. In this relation, he was the main committee member who contribute significantly for the energy report toward the Asean Energy Award 2004 in its 10th meeting held in Kuala Lumpur on 5-6 May 2004. The report entitled Main Terminal Bulding KLIA - Energy Consumption has won and declared First Runner-Up award

Maintaining plant is crucial thus requires right decision and action at all time. Sound and adequate experi-ence in technical and management serving reputable organizations including Hitachi, KLIA, Sapura/Exxon-mobil, General Electric, Serba Dinamik/Shell and Petronas are the proven professional track record for world class maintenance execution. The involvement in local and international employers comprise of east-ern and western engineering mindset have made Mr. Rusli’s experience a global blended. Maintenance of plant & facilities for main and major product like energy and consumable for the country cannot afford to face failures and hiccups. Plant availability and reliability has to come side by side. Relatively quick but correct and justified course of actions were Mr. Rusli’s nature of work when handling the machineries and components in the plant including mechanical static & rotating equipment, electrical devices and support appliances as well as material processes.

Challenges against maintenance accumulates sustain-ably in time proportionate with contemporary technol-ogy advancement. Mr. Rusli is now even matured in undertaking maintenance tasks especially dealing with those important technical specifications of quality standards & non-technical parameters e.g. cost, time and risk. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is adapted upfront which is uncompromised and the second nature of Mr. Rusli’s individual strength of ethics. With all the above, Mr. Rusli has the substantial knowledge and experience to share with others as and when needed for benefit of all.
