COURSE’S SYNOPSIS

   $his course e#plains the insight of optics that involveelectromagnetic %&'( waves generation, superpositionalinteractions and propagation. $he beam undergoes

several phenomena that include interference, diractionsand polariation from coherent and non)coherentsources. $he used of optics are bene*cial for laser and*ber optics applications. $he advanced applicationsinclude optical communications, laser material

processing, medical surger+, militar+ and etc.  shortdiscussion on this topic will be initiated if time permits.
