The Public Health Poster project at NECO was conceived by NECO faculty member Gary Chu OD 95 MPH The project engages OD1 students in the Vision Health Care course to identify research and publish a public health related issue
On April 14th this years posters will be presented and judged during NECOsVisionaries Day Celebration of Student Accomplishments
Below is one of last years winning posters
The premise of this methodology stems from the belief that public health is experienced when people see the impact of health beyond a patient encounter

5 hours of COPE certified CE
Glaucoma is a significant cause of vision loss in the US Early detection patient adherence to evidence-based diagnosis and treatment strategies are critical in preserving vision and maintaining quality of life This in-depth program employs an interactive format and uses case studies to illustrate the importantfacets of comprehensive care management needed for patients with glaucoma

Eight classmates from 1965 who are exhilarated about their 50th yearreunion Joesph Bickford OD Ronald Hall OD Alan Lewis OD (PastPresident NECO) Philip Linsky OD Robert Miller OD Calvin Perry OD(Class President) Philip Sidran OD and Arthur Stutchins
1965 Yearbook Trivia Peanuts and Charlie Brown were the theme and then Yearbook Staffer Clifford Scottwrote a letter to Charles Shultz and received this letter of permission Those were the days
