Candlelight Ceremony
Thank you so much for coming today and as we come to the close of
our debut celebration, we would like to share with you our
traditional candlelight close.
This light represents Inspiration, the inspiration we receive from God
and all those around us.
This light represents Integrity, the integrity we practice in our daily
lives.
This light represents Love, love of our company, our country and all
mankind around us.
This light represents Friendship, the warm friendship which
encompasses us as members of the Mary Kay organization.
This light represents Kindness, the kindness we feel toward all we
meet.
This light represents Faith, the faith that leads us toward rewarding
tomorrows.
This light represents Beauty, the beauty we find in all creation and in
all our lives.
This light represents Courage, the courage to accept challenges and
master them.
This light represents Hope, the hope which dispels a darkness.
This light represents Harmony, acting in harmony with nature, with
others and with your self.
This light represents Compassion- the compassion shown by caring for
others.
This light represents Commitment- the commitment shown by having
the courage to try.
This light represents Courtesy- the courtesy we show by practicing the
golden rule.
This light represents Foresight- the vision to see past today to a
wonderful tomorrow.
This light represents Strength- the character to be undefeated by
failure and unchanged success.

Inspiration, Integrity, Love, Friendship, Kindness, Faith, Devotion,
Beauty, Courage, Hope, Harmony, Compassion, Commitment,
Courtesy, Foresight, Strength, and Joy- All represent the foundations
of our wonderful company- wonderful because of each and every one
of you here today.
Did you ever notice that when you light one candle from the flame
of another, the original loses none of its brilliance? And as it is passed
from one candle to the next, the flame of the orginal candle is
magnified, lighting up the entire room. And so it is with our Mary Kay
careers when we “pass the torch”. Whether sharing our fantastic
products or career opportunity, we can illuminate the lives of others
over and over again. It is our hope that being together this afternoon
has meant as much to you as it has to us.

As a husband of a May Kay Director, I pledge that I will do my
utmost to support, encourage and assist my wife in every way.
I realize that only as we share our lives completely can she
develop her full potential.
