Trade-Up Process – POS Procedures

The Trade-Up discount will be imported into your Point of Sale System. Consult with Sales Ops and/or specific instructions posted for importing.

In General

• The Trade-Up Value will be entered as a non-taxable

SKU and will reduce the value of the cart as a whole

• The Promotional Value on the Receipt will be entered

as a discount for the device

• This discount applies to the OTD price of the handset

RQ4 POS Process

• Dealers and COS Locations will see the amount of the promotion in two places: In Migration Eligibility in the activation portal and on the Clover Portal.

• Customers that receive a Migration Trade-Up Promo are not eligible for a Mail-In-Rebate.

• Only use the Free HTC Desire Promotion towards a new HTC Desire 510

• Only use the $249 Galaxy S4 Upgrade Promo towards a new Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 purchase with Migration.

• Eligible targeted customers are current CDMA Galaxy S3 and S4 users which they should be trading in. An alternate phone may be traded in if that customer is no longer using that device, as long as they meet all requirements.

Trade-Up Process – RQ4 POS Procedures Consult with Sales Ops for questions or specific instructions for importing. New Cricket advocate must switch back to RQ4 to proceed with customer’s order. Launch with IMEI/SIM and perform migration.

After entering the activation criteria, you will have the opportunity to add the Cricket Trade-Up Credit and other Promotional Credits to the shopping cart. Click on the “Add” button next to the “Cricket Trade Up Credit” sku . Once added, any Trade Up Promos that the customer qualified for will populate. Choose and “Add” the appropriate Promotion, “Trigger GS4 Migration offer SKU.


* Important : The “Promotional Value” dollar value listed on the Trade-Up Voucher must be equal to the “Migration Trade Up Promo” that you choose to add to the cart. (Example shown is for the $249 Galaxy Upgrade Promotion) Amounts will be audited and verified.

1) Once the Cricket Trade-Up Credit sku is added to RQ4 invoice, you will be prompted to enter the Tracking Serial #, (IMEI) of device being traded.

2) The “Tracking Serial #” 3) Then click “OK” can be scanned, (preferred method) or entered manually from the voucher.

1) If there is a Trade-Up value, click on the price box of the “Cricket Trade-Up Credit” line item on the invoice.

2) Scan (preferred ) or manually enter The amount of the “Trade-Up Value” listed on the voucher.

3) In order to make this a discount, you must also change the QTY from 1 to -1. The negative triggers this amount as a discount. Please note that customer will need to use any additional trade-up credit value toward equipment/accessory purchases, (not tax or services) which should be added at this time.

2) The “Voucher Number” can be scanned, (preferred method), or manually entered from the voucher.

Notice how the invoice now has 2 line items, (highlighted in yellow), one for the Tracking #, (IMEI) and Trade-Up Credit, a second line item for the Clover Dealer Credit, (indicates the Voucher Number, example-O0002559923)

If you remove one of these line items, the other will go away as well. They must remain together.

Once the Trade-Up Credit has been completed, the Migration Promotional credit, (if qualified for) will discount and display the new purchase price of the phone and subtotal any service charges or taxes due.


If the customer has earned the promo (according to Clover) and the rep neglects to add the promo to the shopping cart, stop and DO NOT TENDER THE SALE • Go back to Track Order and pull the migration through the RQ import again – you will have another

opportunity to Add the correct Migration Trade Up Promo. • Once a sale is tendered, the Migration Trade Up Promo cannot be offered on that migration.

1) Once the Cricket Trade-Up Credit sku is added to RQ4 invoice, you will be prompted to enter the Tracking Serial #, (IMEI) of device being traded.

2) The “Tracking Serial #” can be scanned (preferred method) or entered manually from the voucher.

3) If there was no device trade-in, scan or enter the Non-Trade, NOTRD001 “Tracking Serial #”
