    RECOMENDACIONES IMPORTANTES- Recuerde que cada clase es nica, por lo que la asistencia puntual y permanente es

    indispensable.

    - Se le recomienda estaren el Instituto 5 minutos antes de su clase. La toleranc ia es de 10 minutos.- El materialdebe ser adquirido antes del primer da de clase. Adems de los textos, es importante

    que cada alumno cuente con un diccionario bilinge, un cuaderno de apuntes, lpices yborrador.

    - No olvide que la base de un idioma es el vocabulario, no la gramtica. Enfquese en expandirlocada da, aprendiendo nuevas palabras. La gramtica memorizada no constituye aprendizajesignificativo, es mejor enfocarse en la comunicacin.

    - Practique ingls en casa y en su lugar de trabajo/estudio. Si tiene amigos o familiares que hablenel idioma incentvelos a conversar con usted an si no entiende todo lo que le dicen. Recuerdeque el principio del lenguaje es la comunicacin.

    - No se preocupe si algunas cosas son muy complejas, a lo largo del programa usted revisar losdiferentes puntos ms de una vez. El no comprender todo es parte del proceso de aprendizaje.

    - Participe. Gran parte de la evaluacin se basa en el desempeo de los estudiantes a lo largo dela clase.- Haga sus tareas y estudie fuera de horas de clase. Es imprescindible que usted este en contacto

    con el idioma fuera de clases. Adems, la prctica hace a l maestro.- No traduzca cada palabra. El espaol y el ingls son lenguas diferentes. Ninguna proviene de la

    otra, por lo que no siempre hay una palabra o frase equivalente en el otro idioma. En otraspalabras, no entienda Pencil como Lpiz. En su lugar, dibuje en su mente la pequea vara demadera con punta de carbn que nos permite escribir. As manejar cada idioma de formaindependiente.

    - No hable espaol en clase, cuando estamos en el aula, su cerebro debe abandonar el espaolpara buscar comprender el ingls. Si continua hablando en espaol, el proceso se mantieneinconcluso.

    - Antes de cada clase, revise que hizo el da anterior. As mejorar su desempeo en el aula.

    - Divirtase y disfrute de cada clase. Encuntrela como una oportunidad de conocer nuevosamigos, de intercambiar opiniones, de salir de la rutina diaria. As cada clase ser una aventura.

    The word 'Nationality' is not often used in spoken English. It is a formal and official word and it appears morefrequently in written English. You will find the word 'Nationality' is used a lot in the travel industry and for

    immigration.

    We almost never say: What is your nationa lity?

    We usually say: Where are you from? OR Where do you come from?

    To tell someone your nationality you DON'T say: My nationality is Chilean.
