5G ในเมองไทยจะเรมใชงานไดจรงๆ เมอไร?

กสทช. คาดวาจะเรมใหบรการ 5G ไดในเดอน ม.ย. - ก.ค. 2020 เปนตนไป ในพนท EEC กอน หลงจากออกใบอนญาตในชวงปลายเดอน ก.พ. 2020 และผรบใบอนญาตจะเรมด าเนนการตดตงโครงขายไดตงแตเดอน ม.ค. 2020 (รปท 1) โดยในระยะแรกของการใชงาน 5G จะเกดขนในพนทเขตพฒนาพเศษภาคตะวนออก (EEC) เนองจาก กสทช. ก าหนดเงอนไขไววาผรบใบอนญาตใหใชคลนความถยาน 2600 MHz จะตองจดใหมโครงขายโทรคมนาคมทครอบคลมพนท EEC ไมนอยกวา 50% ภายใน 1 ป นบแตวนทไดรบอนญาต ทงน เพอประโยชนตอการพฒนาอตสาหกรรมแหงอนาคต ตลอดจนเปนแมเหลกส าคญในการดงดดการลงทนจากบรษทตางชาต

นอกจากนน ม 6 กลมจงหวดทจะไดประเดมการใชงาน 5G เพอปพรมสเมองอจฉรยะ (Smart City) และการพฒนาอตสาหกรรมและธรกจบรการ ไดแก กรงเทพมหานครและปรมณฑล เชยงใหม นครราชสมา ขอนแกน สงขลา และภเกต ตามขอก าหนดของ กสทช. ทระบใหผรบใบอนญาตคลนความถยาน 2600 MHz จะตองจดใหมโครงขายโทรคมนาคมครอบคลมพนทดงกลาวไมนอยกวา 50% ของจ านวนประชากรทงหมดในแตละจงหวดภายใน 4 ปนบแตวนทไดรบอนญาต นอกจากน ทาอากาศยานทส าคญๆ จะเปนอกพนททจะไดสมผส 5G หลง กสทช. ลงนามความรวมมอกบ บมจ. ทาอากาศยานไทย (ทอท.) เพอใหบรการ 5G ในสนามบน

5G มจดเดนทความเรวสง ความหนวงตา และรองรบการใชงานไดหลาย Device โดยจากรายงานของ Qorvo ซงเปนบรษทเซมคอนดกเตอรของอเมรกา ชใหเหนวาเทคโนโลย 5G มความเรวสงสดในการรบสงขอมล (Peak data rates) มากกวา 4G ถง 20 เทา (รปท 2) อกทง 5G ยงมความหนวง หรอคาการตอบสนองตอการรบสงสญญาณ (Latency) ตากวา 4G ถง 10 เทา นอกจากนน 5G สามารถรองรบจ านวนการเชอมตออปกรณไดมากกวา 4G ราว 10 เทา อกดวย

การเปลยนแปลงดานแรก คอ เปลยนมอถอ โดยเมอ 5G พรอม จะกระตนใหผบรโภคเปลยนอปกรณสอสารใหม ซงปจจบนมผประกอบการตางเรมทยอยเปดตวสมารทโฟน (Smartphone) รนใหมทรองรบการใชงาน 5G แลว อาท Samsung, Huawei, Xioami, OPPO และ LG ขณะท Apple นนเผยวาจะเปดตว iPhone รนรองรบ 5G ในป 2020 น โดย Ericsson ซงเปนบรษทดานโทรคมนาคมคาดการณวาภายในป 2025 จะมยอดผใชงาน 5G ผานอปกรณสอสารเคลอนท (Mobile subscriptions) กวา 2.6 พนลานราย ซงคดเปน 29% ของผใชอปกรณสอสารเคลอนททงหมด (รปท 3) และ 65% ของจ านวนประชากรทงโลก ขณะท Gartner ซงเปนบรษทวจยและทปรกษาดาน IT คาดวายอดขายสมารทโฟนทวโลกในป 2020 จะเพมขน 3% จากทหดตว 2% ในป 2019 มาอยทราว 1,570 ลานเครอง ซงกวา 221 ลานเครอง (14%) คอ สมารทโฟนทรองรบ 5G ได (รปท 4)

เทคโนโลย 5G จะกระตนการลงทนและการบรโภคภาคเอกชน ผานการลงทนขยายโครงขายของธรกจโทรคมนาคม ซงจะน าไปสการลงทนของอตสาหกรรมอนๆ ทเกยวเนอง รวมถงอตสาหกรรมทใชประโยชนจาก 5G ตลอดจนกระตนการบรโภคภาคเอกชนจากการปรบเปลยนสมารทโฟนใหมของประชาชน อยางไรกด ในภาวะเศรษฐกจชะลอตวเชนน การบรโภคภาคเอกชนอาจเพมขนไดไมมากนก ทงน กสทช. ประเมนวาในป 2020 การประมล 5G จะจดประกายเมดเงนหมนเวยนในระบบเศรษฐกจไทยกวา 1.77 แสนลานบาท ซงคดเปนกวา 1% ของจดพ

5G สงผลบวกตอผประกอบการผลตชนสวนอเลกทรอนกสไทย ตามแนวโนมการเตบโตของยอดขายมอถอ และอปกรณ IoT ตางๆ ท าใหความตองการชนสวนอเลกทรอนกสทอยในหวงโซการผลตเตบโตตามไปดวย เชน แผงวงจรพมพ (Printed circuit boards: PCB) วงจรรวม หรอ IC (Integrated circuits) และสารกงตวน า (Semiconductors) อยางไรกด ในป 2020 การสงออกชนสวนอเลกทรอนกสของไทยเผชญความทาทายจากการระบาดของไวรสโคโรนาสายพนธใหม (โควด-19) ซงท าใหมการปดโรงงานของบรษทผลตสวนประกอบอเลกทรอนกสในอฮน เนองจากไทยสงออกชนสวนอเลกทรอนกสไปจนคดเปนสดสวน 30%

ความเขมขนและความเรวในการใชประโยชนจาก 5G ของไทยขนอยกบหลายปจจย ทงเรองของราคาของ Device ตางๆ ทตองอยในระดบเออมถงได ระยะเวลาในการเรยนรการใชงาน ความพรอมและความเพยงพอของบคคลากรดาน IT และดานการวเคราะหขอมล (Data analytics) และทส าคญ คอ ทศนคต (Mindset) ตอการเปดรบการน าเทคโนโลยใหมๆ มาใชท างานรวมกบมนษย นอกจากนน ยงมประเดนเรองของความเสยงทางไซเบอรและความปลอดภยของขอมล ซงตองอาศยการท างานรวมกนระหวางภาครฐและภาคเอกชน
