Proudly Supported by;

This year, we also hosted a Employment Leadership focus group with Minister Joan Burton to share thought leadership in supporting the Government.
We continued to focus on the theme of mental health in the workplace and further highlighted this agenda through a powerful thought provoking morning in the Dean Hotel.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who have contributed to National Employment Week 2015. Particularly, I would like to thank our sponsors Monster.ie, The Irish Times, CIPD and my colleagues at Sigmar Recruitment. I would also like to thank Bank of Ireland for kindly facilitating the launch of National Employment Week 2015, our charity partners, Dress for Success and our distinguished line-up of speakers for their insightful contribution.

Robert Mac Giolla PhádraigFounder & Chair, National Employment Week
Director, Sigmar Recruitment
National Employment Week is a non commercial initiative that sets the agenda on major employment and social topics in Ireland through a series of seminars, focus groups and forums. We had over 700 employment leaders join us during the course of the week with a concentration at the summit in the Mansion House Dublin on the Wednesday.
Our series of Talent Summits incorporated a selection of keynote and panel sessions providing thought leadership and practical advice on talent related topics to support organisations to compete more effectively for top talent and in turn build capacity to grow employment.
Key topics covered throughout the series included:
- Culture: How an elevated sense of purpose can be a performance differentiator.

Nike Furlong, Global Head of HR
“Yesterday was great, it was a real eye opener for my colleague to see how far companies have moved on with developing culture, engagement and wellbeing within organisations! I was particularly impressed with Gillian French, Mark Stanley, Alan Lawless and Jeetu Mahtani. I did a lot of googling last night on the various companies! Cheers again for the invite.”
Gareth Bond, Human Resource Business Partner

Catherine-Ellen O’Keeffe, Associate Solicitor
Feedback
“Thank you for the invitation to attend the events this week. I also attended the full day yesterday in the Mansion House. I found the sessions informative and have many ‘take-aways’ from the events and food for thought. I work within the legal industry and I found the topics of Culture and Employer brand (within the tech industry) to be completely transferable and relevant. Thank you and please include me on the invitation list next year.”
June Cassidy, HR Manager
“Thank you for a great event on Friday - very relevant, informative and enjoyable. Well done to the organisers and participants.”
Mari Manning, Coaching & Consultancy
“Just to say thank you for inviting me yesterday to a very well put together event. It was very informative and good opportunity to network.”
Stella Sullivan, HR Professional
“Many thanks for the invitation and lunch. I personally got a lot from the various different topics to bring forward in our organisation. The day was well managed and the structure/style (mix of presentations and panel discussions) worked very well in keeping the audience engaged.”
Cathleen Doohan, People & CSR Director
“It was a very well put together event so well done to all.”
