Networking is about relationship building. Two key elements:

ListeningGood listening validates the value of others and shows respect.

Asking questionsAsking thoughtful questions shows sincerity and builds trust because it actively shows an interest in someone else's opinions and thoughts.

Developing social skills is about being aware of how we communicate with others, the messages we send and how methods of communication can be improved to make the way we communicate more efficient and effective.
