NEIGHBORHOOD SENTIMENT & CONCERNS RE 1711 FLORIDA AVENUE LLC PROPOSAL, AS OF JUNE 2011 In June 2011, residents in Square 150, along Ontario Road, as far north as Kalorama Road, and along Florida Avenue, from U Street to 16 th Street NW, were asked whether or not they were in favor of the proposal, and to state and rate any concerns they had about the project on a 1-5 scale. The top rating of 1 was awarded a weight of 25 points, 2 – 20 points, 3 – 15 points, 4 – 10 points, and 5 – 5 points. The above graphs show the percentage of respondents in favor, undecided, and against the proposal, and the percentage of total points awarded to each concern. The majority of neighbors (52%) are against the proposal. The most important concern is potential impact on traffic and parking, then architectural fit, then the impact of commercial activity on the neighborhood, and then disruption during construction.
