A majority of residential HVAC service calls are related to component or application issues. NC3’s Residential HVAC Certifications are designed to train technicians to address these issues. Participants in the Residential Certification for Heat Pumps will understand the benefits and operation of heat pump systems. They will understand the defrost cycle, sequence of operations and create a defrost cycle using portable trainers. The will understand the electrical components within a heat pump system and how to apply dual fuel to maximize system performance and efficiency for the homeowner. Students who receive NC3’s Air-to-Air Heat Pumps certification will be able to: NC3 CERTIFICATIONS Receive industry-validated NC3 certifications as proof of skills achievement that can offer enhanced employment potential and higher productivity on the job, in industries such as: Construction Building Retrofit System Repair HVAC System Installation Building Management ADDITIONAL NC3 CERTIFICATIONS: Residential - Airflow Residential - Refrigeration Diagnostics Residential - Variable Speed Motors Commercial - Building Automation Systems (5 Certifications) Trane is a proud partner of the National Coalition of Certification Centers.
