A majority of residential HVAC service calls are related to component or application issues. NC3’s Residential HVAC Certifications are designed to train technicians to address these issues. Participants in the Residential Certification for Variable Speed Motors will understand the application, operational characteristics and advantages of variable speed motors. They will understand air flow performance between PSC, Constant Torque & Variable Speed motor options, along with troubleshooting procedures for each type of motor. Each student will have properly configured each motor type within a series of different indoor units to deliver proper air flow and obtain system performance. Students receiving NC3’s VARIABLE SPEED MOTORS certifications will be able to: NC3 CERTIFICATIONS Receive industry-validated NC3 certifications as proof of skills achievement that can offer enhanced employment potential and higher productivity on the job, in industries such as: Construction Building Retrofit System Repair HVAC System Installation Building Management ADDITIONAL NC3 CERTIFICATIONS: Residential - Airflow Residential - Air-to-Air Heat Pumps Residential - Refrigeration Diagnostics Commercial - Building Automation Systems (5 Certifications) Trane is a proud partner of the National Coalition of Certification Centers.
