x. Enter your student id in the password box. Please do NOT change your password If your email address has changed, please

update your profile in Naviance, changing BOTH your email address and username. See your counselor or Mrs. Sandifer in the CCC

if you need assistance You will need YOUR OWN email account. It is

advisable to use the same email address you will be using for college admissions. If you need to create a new email account, visit: www.yahoo.com www.hotmail.com www.gmail.com

I am a new student who has never logged-in, how do I register?

To register, please visit:www.connection.naviance.com/westlake Click on “I need to register” Enter your student id # in the registration

box, then click “register” You should then be directed to a screen where

you can enter your email address. Please enter your student id # as the

password Read the privacy statement, then check the “I

accept” box. Click on “Complete Registration” to finish the

process

“colleges” tab

2. Then click “SuperMatch”

3. Enter your search criteria

4. Add schools to prospective list if desired

Once you are logged in…

1. READ the Welcome Message that starts with: “Stop! Please Read…” In these

instructions, it directs you to create a common app account.

2. SET UP your common app account by visiting www.commonapp.org

3. Return to Naviance and click on the “Document Library” in order to PRINT your

instructions

Click on “Forms”

Print the instructions that apply to you: Private/Out of State instructions

and/or CSU/UC/Community College instructions

Print the transcript request form

4. After printing, please carefully FOLLOW the instructions. They will walk you

through completing the remaining steps (online privacy notice, the brag sheets, etc.)

3. After common app acct is created, you may return to Naviance and print the instructions and the transcript request forms from document library

4. Following the instruction sheets for private schools: Privacy Notice Waiver step

2.Mark “Yes I waive my right” and check the box in order to have a letter included

3. Enter your common app username and password, then hit “submit”

ALL college meetings with your counselor must be

completed no later than November 18th if you want a letter of

recommendationto be included.
