Talking about cuisine is not just talking about food, but also about pleasure, culture, trade and tourism.

All the cities and territories in the world dream about having their own cuisine with its unique profile, because it serves as a letter of introduction and is a matter of identity.

And Navarra has just that.

Navarra, taking produce to the next levelNavarra cuisine has always been focussed on local produce. We have inherited, we possess and we pamper some of the most precious “jewels” in this universe: asparagus, peppers, vegetables, meat, cheese, wines...

However, recently, we have progressively become aware of some new key points.

Behind, on, under or next to our produce and natural ingredients can be found the history and histories, songs, dreams, relationships, traditions of our land.

An essential part of our cuisine is the “sixth flavour”, which is our history, a history full of flavourful and magical “intangibles.

Taste the land, taste the landscapesThe culinary experience in Navarra consists of tasting the land in one bite: to experience everything that is contained in a dish or recipe. And we would suggest doing so through its landscapes.

Because in Navarra the landscapes can be tasted.

Everything is contained in the landscapes, what can and cannot be seen, the tangible and intangible. The land, effort, sunrises, sunsets, all carry their own special fragrance, flavour, sound, feel ...

Landscapes can be read and contemplated, they are transformed and constructed between each and every one of us, including our visitors.

Navarra has one of the best and most diverse collections of landscapes imaginable. In just a few kilometres, it is possible to move from the woodland to the desert, from the snow to the thickets, from Romanesque to minimalism, from the past to the future.

Come and enjoy a very special tasting experience

The “Landscape Tasting” culinary experience in Navarra is to enjoy our dishes and produce; meet and listen to the cheesemakers, shepherds, cattle farmers, crop farmers, those working at the wineries, canning plants, small and large... narrators and teachers, grandfathers, mothers, chefs, all those who have created these tangibles and intangibles that give meaning to our cuisine, to our culture, to our land: Navarra.
