Our Products Environmental & Social Attributes

SFWare – Made from Sugar Cane Fiber Made from Sugar Cane Fiber “Bagasse”, the �brous waste left over after the extraction of the sugar from the cane. The plates, cups, bowls, trays, clam-shells (take away containers) tolerate both high (212 F.) and low heat applications holding either wet or dry food. These products are sturdy, grease and cut resistant, and microwave/freezer safe and is the most cost effective replacement for Styrofoam. It is also an excellent alternative to both plastic and paper tableware. It composts in 90 to 180 days depending on the conditions of compost pile. All our Sugar Cane Fiber products are certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute (ASTM 6868 Standard)

PSOWare - Made from Plant Starch and Oil Made from Plant Starch and Oil, primarily potato starch and soy oil. The cutlery which includes, knives, forks, spoons and stirrers has heat tolerance a 220 F, is strong and study, and composts in 90 to 180 days depending on the compost pile conditions.

PLAWare – Made from PolyLactic Acid Corn Plastic Made from PolyLactic Acid, a corn based plastic, which requires fewer fossils resources to produce and composts within 45 – 60 days. Products include cups, deli containers, bowls and hinged containers. It’s clear and should be used for cold application as it will not tolerate temperatures over 110 degrees. Our CPLA mugs and cup lids have heat tolerance of up to 220 F. All our PLA and CPLA products are certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute (ASTM 6400 Standard). NatureWorks produces PLA under the brand name Ingeo™

BCWare – Paper cups with Corn Plastic Lining Bio Cups made from paper with PLA lining, rather than petrochemical plastics. This nature inspired and stylish hot cups require less energy to produce and are fully compostable within 45 days.

BPWare – Made from Bio Plastics Resins Made from Bio Plastics resins, these bags are 100% Compostable biodegradable as well as recyclable and burnable. Fully compliant with ASTM D6400 Standard, which assure that they leave no known residues in the ground or water supply? These bags carry the seal of the US Composting Council.
