A Walking Tour of Tamanowas Rock Join the Natural History Society for a walking tour of Tamanowas Rock, a very special and spiritual icon, on Tuesday morning, April 19. This walk will be lead by Owen Fairbank, Conservation Project Committee Chair and Jefferson Land Trust Board Advisor. He will share the 13-year saga of protecting Tamanowas Rock, an overview of the geology and a little tribal history, and views from the ridge of other protected farm, forest, and habitat properties, both existing and proposed. Have you walked in the crack in the ground? Have you encountered spirits at the Rock? Participation is limited to 15 people. Parking is limited, and car pools will be arranged. Book Club Selection The Natural History Society Book Club will meet on Monday, April 25, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm to discuss The Sea Runners by Ivan Doig. RSVP to Jean for location at [email protected].
