GLORY BE TO JESUS CHRIST!

GLORY BE FOREVER!

THE APOSTLE’S FAST: Please remember that we are in the season of the Apostle’s Fast. This period runs from June 16th until July 12th. You are encouraged to observe this fast during the appointed time.

THE HOLY AND GLORIOUS BIRTH OF ST. JOHN THE

BAPTIST: The feast of the birth of St. John the Baptist will be held on Monday July 7th. The Divine Liturgy will be served at 10 AM.

SS. PETER AND PAUL: The feast of Saints Peter and Paul will be celebrated on Saturday July 12th. Please make an effort to be with us when the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10AM.

GENERAL CONFESSION: General Confession will be served on Sunday July 6th. Please make an effort to be with us beginning at 9:30AM. This is a great time to reconcile with Our Lord and

receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord.

WECOME BACK HOME: His Grace Bishop Michael has officially attached Protodeacon John Suchernick to our parish. We welcome him back along with Matushka Barbara and their son Reader Michael. May God Grant to them Many Blessed Years and a long stay at our parish. Many Years!

SUMMER IS IN FULL SWING: Many times we are faced with an important decision whether to attend the Divine Liturgy or go fishing, swimming, or just decide to

catch some rays on a beautiful day. This choice should be a simple one and not be influenced by outside forces. Please remember that your church is never on vacation or closed for any reason on a Sunday or during the week. Make an effort to be with us during the summer months each and every Sunday and on holy days as well.

THANK YOU: It is important that once a month the Parish Council offers a luncheon to our faithful to sit down and break bread together as a family. Last month we had a little picnic lunch and we are grateful that many of you stayed to

enjoy each other’s company. Even though our grill didn’t work we managed to get the hamburgers and hot dogs cooked in a timely fashion. Luncheons have been a tradition in our parish and we would like to continue this for many years to come. Some parishes have weekly coffee hours after church but for us the monthly luncheon seems to work. Thank you to those who prepared the luncheon but thank you to those who stay after. Our hope is to have other’s who come to church to join us and enjoy some delicious dinners. We Miss you when you decide to go home!

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN: We are in the midst of our Capital Campaign to raise funds for the painting of the exterior and interior of our church. We are looking to raise $30,000 to complete both paintings and refurbishing our floors. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk if interested in contributing.

YOUTH DAY AT GREAT ADVENTURE: Our Diocesan Youth Day will begin here at St. Mary’s on August 21st and then travel for a day at Great Adventure. If our youth would like to attend please see Matushka Ludmila. We will pick up the cost!
