JUNE 2013 Newsletter

CHRIST IS RISEN!

INDEED HE IS RISEN!

PARISH PICNIC: Everyone is invited to the Parishhome to gather as a community of believers and enjoy

each others fellowship on SUNDAY JUNE 23rd. Please

stay after the Divine Liturgy and join us in the parish

home for our annual Church Picnic. Please come to this

event as this is our time to kick off the summer. We have

a wonderful time planned and all we need is you! Pleasemake an effort to join us on this day!

GENERAL CONFESSION: Sunday June 2nd beginning

at 9:30 AM Father John will serve the service of

General Confession. Please be prompt so you can take

advantage of the Sacrament of Repentance.

FEAST OF THE ASCENSION: Our Lords Ascensioninto heaven will be celebrated with the Divine Liturgy

on Thursday, June 13th beginning at 10 AM. Please

make an effort to be with us on this day to celebrate this

feast day of the Orthodox Church.

PENTECOST SUNDAY: The Feast day of Pentecost

will be celebrated on Sunday, June 23rd. Please join us

on this Sunday to participate in the Divine Liturgy. It is

on this feast day that the Holy Spirit that Christpromised to His disciples came on this day of Pentecost.

In the liturgical services of the Feast of Pentecost the

coming of the Holy Spirit is celebrated together with the

full revelation of the divine Trinity, Father, Son, and

Holy Spirit. On this day the church is decorated with

green leaves of the summer to show that Gods divinebreath comes to renew all creation as the life creating

Spirit.

SPECIAL THANKS: We are grateful to all those who

offered their time and talents to make our celebration of

the Glorious Feast of Pascha! To Matushka Ludmila for

beautifying our church with the floral arrangements,Matushka Donnalynn, Nadja Schmidt and Fred

Schmidt, Cousin Cliff for preparing our festal luncheon.

To all the Altar Servers, Flag Bearers, Choir Director

and Singers, and especially our parishioners who filled

the church to capacity. Christ IS RISEN! Indeed He Is

Risen!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP: Since the beginning

of this newsletter we have had an overwhelming

response for donations for items that are needed for the

church. Each time a plea went out a parishioner stepped

up and responded with generous offerings towards the

purchase of these items. We the parish council would

like to especially thank Joanna Baronowsky for her

generous gifts and love for her church. We still have afew items left for purchase listed below. Please see

Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to offer your

help!

PARAFFIN: OIL For Lamps: $600 per year

ALTAR COVERS: GOLD $2500 a set / $1500 has

been donated so far for this project!

ALTAR BOYS STICHARIONS: $2100 for FOUR

PARISH HOME WASHING MACHINE: $470

JUNE 16th: HAPPY FATHERS DAY to our living

Fathers of our parish. Please take the time to Thank

your father for all that he has done in your life. We wish

them all Many Years! Please say a prayer for the

departed fathers of our parish! Eternal Memory!

Christ Is Risen!

DISTINGUISHED DIOCESAN DONORS: His Grace

Bishop Michael began this initiative to support the

many different projects in our diocese. If you would like

to make a donation to this project there are forms at the

candle desk that can be used. Please see Matushka

Ludmila at the candle desk for information.

PARISH HOME HALL FOR RENT: Do you have a

special occasion coming up? A Birthday Party,

Christening, or Wedding! What better place then to

celebrate it in our newly renovated parish home facility.Please see Protodeacon John or Matushka Ludmila to

reserve a date.

PRAY FOR GOOD HEALTH: Remember in your

prayers Matushka Olga, Mary Chvasta, Joanna

Baronowsky and Olga Proskourina. If there are others

that we are unaware of or you have a family memberyou would like to remember please let Father John or

Protodeacon John know immediately!

JUNE GRADUATIONS: This is the time of year when

members of our parish family may be graduating from

High School or College. Please pray for them and wish

them well in their future endeavors. Please notifyFather John or Protodeacon John Morvay of those in

your family who are graduating this year.

SPONSORS FOR NEWSLETTER: Would like to

sponsor the newsletter for a month. Beginning in

September we are seeking sponsors for the newsletter.

Donation for a month is $25. On the Candle desk will bea sign up sheet to reserve your month. Please help us by

reserving a month to remember a special day or loved
