Conference Theme

Rapid changes in the corporate behavioural pattern and shifts of

economy has posed great difficulty to domestic as well as cross-

boundary jurisdiction because of several reasons, obviously, one of

them being movement of funds and consequently, the protection

of investor interest. Lack of coherence in different politico-legal

systems has posed difficulties in 'business risk management'

environment. On the contrary, there is requirement of strong

safeguards for proper parking of fund for returns in the event of

diluted shareholder control. These types of business decisions sail

through management skill and prudence within the given

framework of regulator'S law. Regulatory compliance mechanism is

widely diversified amongst legal systems.

Domestic legal systems develop because of historical reasons and

are based on culture, custom and usage of any society. Similar

concept applies in case of corporate legal system. Disparity and

non-conformity of corporate legal system has become a hindrance

in the norms of governance of domestic and trans-national

companies. The conference aims to address the diverse issues

arising in this respect as well as evolve common accepted norms of

governance.
