TO NATIONAL TRUST 2017
We are happy to bring you another edition of “On Ice”, the frozen genetic version of the famed National Trust Sale. We are extremely proud that this event is exclusive to Simmental as the original catch-phrase was “For the Betterment of the Breed”. Although the initial intention for the National Trust was to have a sale positioned early in the sale season that could launch and set the bar for the remainder of the fall, we have since refocused our intent. After much consideration it seemed best to re-brand The National Trust into this low-pressure, but entertaining evening of commerce. The sit-down-meal environment, combined with semen and embryos from high-end, sought after genetics is a very intentional format for this sale. This year we are very excited to welcome Mr. Jerry Kanewischer as our auctioneer. It is important to respect those that paved the road for all of us in the service side of the registered cattle business and Jerry has lead the way throughout the years. We look forward to having this pioneer on our sale team this evening and wish him all the best with his future career.

LWC Miss Ranger 10B just really stood out to me at the 2015 Source sale. I bid on her sire when he sold at the Crossroad Farms bull sale and I loved all the heifers I saw. Miss Ranger had one of the top replacement heifers in 2016 and bred back early. I decided to keep her open and flush her a couple different ways. Ms Tracker 49X has become a cornerstone donor in our program. She is a powerfully constructed female with depth of body, thickness over the top and down into her quarter. After seeing Titanium as a four-month-old calf, we knew he was special. A calf with that much thickness, eye appeal and correctness doesn’t come around often. He continues to impress as he develops into a truly outstanding herd sire. Titanium combines a moderate birth weight with explosive growth in an extremely soft made package. He is wide topped, strong quartered, big barrelled, excellent footed and has large testicles. He is a bull we are all extremely excited to have as part of the herd bull battery.
