About the College :New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE), established in 2001, a unit of the New Horizon Educational and Cultural Trust, offers quality education in both Engineering and Management programs. The college is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. NHCE has the prestigious accreditation of NBA, NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. It is ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution, NHCE has also reached one more milestone by achieving Autonomous Status from the Academic Year 2015-16 by VTU and Government of Karnataka.NHCE has made efforts to provide an unique platform to showcase the innovative and creative skills of our budding engineers across the country in general and Karnataka in particular to demonstrate their engineering projects during the “Inter – Collegiate Project Exhibition – TecHorizon 2019” which have been the real manifestation of future entrepreneurs / technopreneurs.
About the Department :The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation(NBA). Electronics and Communication Engineering is the core of remote sensing, or smartcity, or self-driving car, or robots, or internet of things and so forth. The Electronics and Communication engineering department at New Horizon College of Engineering consists ofhighly qualified faculty members with rich experience both in academics, research, and industry. Apart from regular faculty, technology experts from reputed organizations like IBM, HP, Texas Instruments, Sankalp Semiconductors, Audience Communication, Intel, ISRO, IISc. and other institutes visit ECE department to interact with students and run industry-relevant technology courses. The department has interactive class rooms and industry oriented laboratories with latest equipments for students to conduct experiments. The students of ECE department execute various projects throughout their studies, publish research papers, and participate in national and international conferences. The students of ECE department have obtained gold medals and many ranks in the university. Many students pursue higher studies in Indian and foreign universities, while some of them have setup their own ventures. The students of ECE department are actively involved in several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and have been awarded for it. Overall, the department provides a very cordial environment for students to nurture and guide them to bloom into a knowledgeable and skilled Electronics and Communication engineer.
About TecHorizon'19:TecHorizon'19 is an organized presentation and display of models/working projects competition. It is the idea of sharing knowledge. It is also an endeavor to foster and enhance the culture of scientific inquiry and its relevance in real world applications and underline the strong connection among student community. The TecHorizon'19 will motivate the students to a whole new level as they demonstrate their projects to other students, representatives from Institutes, industry etc. getting their views, reviews & appreciations.

General Rules and Guidelines for competition:Each team can have minimum of 1 to maximum of 4 members.
