Observance of Rashtiya Ekta Diwas, 2016

National Institute of Pharmaceuticals Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata in

compliance with the Home Ministry, Government of India guidelines conveyed by

Department of Pharmaceuticals, New Delhi vide their letter no. 34011/8/2016-Admn.

dated 20th October, 2016 has observed the “Rashtiya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day)

on 31st October, 2016 on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

in the Institute.

The Director administrated the “Rashtiya Ekta Diwas” Pledge to all the Faculty

members, Students, Officers and other members of the staff at 12:00 noon in the

Conference Hall of CSIR-IICB (Mentor Institute).

Director addressed the gathering and delivered and inspiring talk on the life and work

of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel known as Bismark of India. He also

described the Iron Man’s contribution towards the unification of post independent India.

He also explained the need and importance of Rashtiya Ekta in the country to fight the

evil forces of the unity, integrity and security of the country.

The Ekta Diwas was organized in the Institute in a befitting manner.
