Bedding was also
donated by several
Nash UNC team
members.

main hospital
tower during the
holiday season.

the onset of the
coronavirus
pandemic.

were implemented
in response to the
COVID-19
pandemic.

Surgical services
were altered due
to the pandemic.

hosted a Blood
Drive in
response to the
critical need for
blood during the
onset of the
COVID-19
pandemic.

The community rallied
around Nash UNC with
donations of masks,
gloves, hand sanitizer
and cleaning supplies.
This response helped
our PPE shortage in
March and April.

observed National
Doctor’s Day by
thanking all of the
physicians and
providers who
make an impact
on our community.

featured in a
video by the
Holderness
Family called
“Gimme Six
Feet” that
stressed the
importance of
social distancing
in a fun way.

tighter
restrictions in
response to the
COVID situation.

as we continued to
provide exceptional
health care services
to our community
during the COVID-19
pandemic.

critical COVID patient
was successfully
discharged after over
two weeks of
treatment.

launched to educate
our community on

emergency medical
care and what
precautions we are
taking during the
pandemic to keep
people safe.

Cancer Center.

developed a video
to explain the
processes in place
for checking in
and treating
COVID patients
separately from
other patients in
the Emergency
Department.
May 2020:
Nash UNC honored
nurses during National
Nurse’s Week.
May 2020:
Nash UNC celebrated
National Hospital Week
in a variety of ways,
including a video
dedicated to all Nash
UNC employees and the
role they have played in
providing care for our
community in the midst
of a pandemic.
May 2020:
We launched a campaign to
remind the public the variety
of precautions we are taking
to keep them safe as we all
deal with COVID.
May 2020:
Guided by
recommendations
from the CDC, UNC
Health and state
officials, Nash
resumed some
services under new
processes and
guidelines for
keeping our
community safe.
May 2020:
We celebrated the
discharge of a COVID
patient who received
treatment at Nash for
43 days.
June 2020:
Nash UNC Health
Care hosted a blood
drive to build its
bank of
convalescent plasma
used treat qualifying
COVID-19 patients,
through our
participation in the
national Expanded
Access Program, in
collaboration with
Mayo Clinic.
June 2020:
Nash UNC
implemented new
and improved UV
cleaning
technology for
COVID rooms and
other areas of the
hospital.
June 2020:
Nash UNC Health
Care partnered with
Boice-Willis Clinic and
Nash Surgical
Associates to open a
new, combined
general surgery
practice in Rocky
Mount on June 30.
