KIMMCO (Kuwait Insulating Material Manufacturing Co.), a subsidiary of Alghanim Industries was established in Kuwait in1977. It has become leading insulation solution provider in the Middle East, Africa, the Far East and other Asian countries.
As a licensee of Saint Gobain, Isover, the world leader in fiberglass insulation, KIMMCO provides insulation solutions for HVAC, building (roofs, walls, floors, metallic buildings) and technical/industrial applications. With an annual production capacity of 35,000 MT, KIMMCO is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, and is compliant with ISO, ASTM, DIN, BS and other international standards.
KIMMCO products are used in private, commercial, government and industrial projects for floors, walls, roofs, air-conditioning and piping as well as process and petrochemical industries. KIMMCO also provides Stonewool insulation products manufactured by its subsidiary Rockwool India Ltd. ALGHANIM INSULATION GROUP announced the opening in 2014 of a ‘state of the art’ stonewool plant in Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah, Saudi Arabia. A joint venture with Saint Gobain international. The plant will have an annual capacity of 64000 MT.

Important Remarks:
• Self-adhesive aluminum foil tapes should, ideally, bereinforced and a minimum 75mm in width and havea thickness of at least 30 microns to ensure adequateadhesion
• For circular and rectangular ductwork the use of tiewires, lacing wire and clips are the most commonmethods.
• It is not recommended that an overlap method ofinstallation is used. The overlap of material causesgreater stress to be placed on the self-adhesivealuminum foil tape. This can result in delamination,breaking the vapor barrier provided by the tape.
• Self-adhesive aluminum foil tape should not be usedas a mechanical fixing. Its function is to providea vapor barrier between the foil surface and theseparate foil faced insulation.
• Rectangular duct of 600mm width and greatershall be tighten with metal seam to avoid insulationsagging
Step 1
Wear Protection tools (dust mask & hand gloves)
Step 2
Ensure that air duct service is free of oil, grease, or water and tightly sealed at all the joints.
Step 3
Measure the dimension of the duct. Width of insulation needed shall be
Width = (2 x height)+ (2 x width) +8 x thickness of insulation
Step 4
With the foil side of the insulation facing up, Wrap the insulation around the duct ensuring that the ends are butted tightly together.
Step 5
Tape every joint completely with pressure sensitive aluminum tape along the seam where insulation butts together.
