Saturday June 2nd 3.30 - 8.30pm Genesis Cinema - 93-95 Mile End Rd London, E1 4UJ SOAP MEETS SPLATTER The safety pins are off in Attack of the Adult Babies, a satirical and sexy shocker unlike anything ever seen before. It has been described as disgusting, depraved, brave, bonkers, brilliant and quintessentially British in its humour and depravity – and that’s just by Dominic’s mum! The aftermath of a shocking home invasion forces three frightened family members to break into a remote country manor and steal Top Secret documents. Little do they know the stately pile is also the clandestine venue where a group of high-powered elderly men go to take refuge from the stresses and strains of daily life by dressing up in nappies and having a bevy of beautiful nurses indulging their every perverse nursery whim. Nor do they realise this grotesque assembly is compelled to refuel the world’s economy by very sinister, sick and monstrous means. As the bodily fluids hit the fan, the bloody carnage and freaky weirdness escalates… As Dominic and Joanne reveal: “The film was inspired by a mixture of ideas and events… the Formula One President Max Mosely’s sadomasochistic orgy exposé, the dubious all-male Charity events, Freemason lore, exploitative male bosses, Carry On movies, saucy seaside postcards and 1950s EC Horror Comics. The plan was always to make a movie almost beyond description”. They have succeeded, too! A CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCH We will also be screening a brand new high definition transfer of The Psychopath (1966), a tense little British horror scripted by Robert (Psycho ) Bloch. Unseen for many years, this rarest of Amicus productions is a suspenseful yarn starring Patrick Wymark as a frayed-at- the-edges detective on the trail of a psychotic killer who leaves lookalike dolls lying next to the corpses of his victims. The killings seem to be something to do with a crazy old lady in a wheelchair and her twitchy son, whose name isn’t Norman, by the way. Expertly filmed in colour and Techniscope and directed by the late, great Freddie Francis, this is going to look absolutely amazing on the huge Genesis screen. * Please note: The Films, Guests and Attractions listed are subject to change Following hot on the heels of our previous Big and Little DarkFests we are delighted to present a sequel that is equal to the originals. This time round we are twinning a little-seen retro classic with the brand new Attack of the Adult Babies, an outrageous comedy horror from Dominic Brunt, better known as ‘Paddy’ in TV’s Emmerdale. A massive horror fan and good friend to this magazine, Dominic is a lovely fellah and he will be in attendance on the day for a Q&A along with his wife, producer, actress and Adult Babies star Joanne Mitchell. We are delighted to be screening this outrageous horror hit ahead of its June 11th Blu-ray and DVD release from Nucleus Films!
