Nang Kruang Waterfall
This very beautiful waterfall is located in Pop Phra District,
roughly 50 km from Mae Sot.
The best is to go there by car or rented motorcycle. It is not
possible to go by bicycle
unless you are a professional mountain or race biker. It is very
mountanous. A good quality
motorcycle can be rented at the Honda shop in the town center
for 150 B a day. There
should be public transport, but it might be a bit difficult to
find without speaking Thai.
Formerly namrd Phuah Pha, later called Phra and Nang Kruan
respectively, Is surrounded
by shady trees. Originated from the river located by the river
located by the paddy field, the
fall is ideal for rest and relaxation. To access the fall,
follow route #1090, At Km 31-32, turn
right to Amphur Phob Phra. And then take route #1206 at Km
12.
On top of the waterfall is a small parking lot and a restaurant
with a nice view over the
mountains. There is also a fountain with elefants statues in
it.
