About: Started playing guitar at the age of 10 under the

tutelage of Mr. Raja Chowdhury. First experience on stage

was with the school band of St. Lawrence High School in

2008 and played as the lead guitarist for 5 years straight.

While being in school, played both live and studio sessions

with artists like Sraboni Sen, Bonosree Sengupta and other

such artists. The primary aim is to become one of the best

guitarists of the country and beyond, while spreading the

music.

Influences: Eric Johnson, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, John

Mayer, John Petrucci, Guthrie Govan, Andy James, Marco

Sfogli, Ehsaan Noorani and many more.

Experience:

2008 – Worked as a freelance artist at Rick Audio Studios,

Behala.

2009-13 - Worked as a freelance artist with Shubhankar

Banerjee, Sraboni Sen, Bonosree Sengupta and played a

handful of concerts in and around Kolkata with renowned

artists like Roompa Roy (mother), Pradyot Sarkar and many

others; also joined the band, Prismatics (later on renamed as

Stardust), an experimental project and performed shows so

forth. Played with band “Indian Blue” (with respected artist

Shiraz Ali Khan) for a short period of time.

2014 - Worked as a session artist with Arijit Singh on a song

“Jonaki” for the film “Lorai”. Achieved standing positions at

several college and headlined school fests with Stardust and

the school band. Performed with Stardust as house musicians

at Ta’aam fine dining restaurant. On 21st June performed at

Someplace Else, Kolkata on the occasion of International

Music Day. Also performed at Jamsteady for its Open Mic,

mid December. The year ended with the studio sessions of

Stardust.

2015 – The year began with the Ernie Ball Open Mic at SIN,

Hotel Gateway, Kolkata and the Someplace Else Open Mic.

The recording sessions continued, and played on an

international project under a music director from Bangladesh.

In June, joined a new band “Felt-Tip Pencils” and performed

at Someplace Else with both Felt-Tip Pencils and Stardust.

Joined another band “Counting Absurdity” including

renowned artist Mr. Ayan Nag (drummer). Recently

performed at Princeton Club with Counting Absurdity.

Further Updates: Felt-Tip Pencils were offered a record deal

by Orange Music Productions. In September the album was

recorded at Music Room Studios, Park Street. The album

“What The Fish” will be releasing mid October globally.

Several upcoming gigs at CC&FC Club and other venues

throughout Kolkata.
