DAY 1- LESSON PRESENTATION Present lesson. Print, color, cut-out activity page and make the puppets. Conclude each activity with your testimony. PHRASE/WORD RECOGNITION (REPEAT DAILY) Young children – “temple” Older children – “My family can be together forever.” DAY 2 – PRETEND ACTIVITY Temple Time! If your child does not have a picture of the temple in his room, this would be a great time to buy one or cut one out of a Church magazine. Make five squares with masking tape on the carpet. •Stand with your child in the first square. Tell your child the square represents today. Talk about what your child is doing at this time in his life. •Then, walk to the second square, explaining this square represents your child growing bigger. Explain that this is the time he prepares to go to the temple. •Continue walking to the third square which represents the temple You may want to put a picture of the temple in that square. •The fourth square represents your child’s mission. Again, you may choose to place a picture of a missionary in this square. •The fifth square contains a picture of the family, representing eternal life. When reaching the fifth square you may want to sing a short song. Here We Are Together ” can easily be adapted or “Families Can Be Together Foreve r”. DAY 3 – SONG Help your child learn the chorus of “Families Can Be Together Forever”. He may only be able to sing one line or the words “I can” at first. If you do not live close to a temple, take him to your chapel and talk about the temple. If you do not live close to your chapel, take him to a quiet, beautiful place and talk about the temple.
