My experimental work

My research on square shape took me to the artist Malevich who worked on abstract art focused on basic geometric forms, painted in a limited range of colours within the pictorial space. After reading books, watching videos and doing online research I understood that the art has a sublime in itself which give you two type of feeling – joyful and painful. My introduction to square shape paintings was by the means of Kazimir Malevich’s work and through Malevich I also get to know about Kant theory on sublime which exactly justify my thoughts on black square. This way deepness of square become my inspiration to study more about it. Malevich tried to represent the black square in visual phenomena of the objective world, In themselves meaningless, but the significant thing is feeling through the deepness of square.

•This experiment work is related to my final project which is about square shape. I have tried to create a reflection of bounded square shape with boundless emotion of universe. So I have done few experiment in which I have tried to express my idea with of course the help of painting.•In my experiment I have tried to combine abstraction with different size of square painted in limited color range.•Through these painting I am trying to present that how square shape deepness reflects the sublime emotion of one’s life which can not be explain in words which is perceived by intuition.

Meditation

•When you enter in meditation the silence between thoughts. There is a gap with no thoughts just pure consciousness or restful awareness, so you can only have the realization that you were in the gap means black. As you go deeper you get to know the depth of your soul.•So my point through this experiment is the deepness of meditation takes you to that sublime feeling which gives you inexplicable joy and indescribable happiness

Love

•The love is full of mysteriousness, awesome feeling. The bright coloured boarder means the outer beauty of love, as we go deeper it is getting darker and in the depth it may be a pain for some. It is depend on a person what he or she expect. So I use black colour as blank.

Sky

•In this experiment, I show the night sky. As the sky is boundless. As we see the inner part of it, we realize very small light coming out of it which is the light of stars. Comparing with the size of sky the no of stars are very less but the light of sky can make a difference in dark night sky. It gives the inspiration of positivity that if we have 100 problem there is spot of light by which we can solve it.

Land

•The green color square represent the greenery of earth as we go inside we find water and more deeper there is a mud. so it is a darker part of land.

•After these experiments, I tried to elaborate further in my research with colored square. I made four cubes with some color combinational square.•Each has black color frame, yellow color shows brightness of spiritual power, red color shows the brightness of love, white shows brightness of sky, green color shows brightness of land.

Life

I connect this experiments with human life, it is a life, a simple life, but in depth there are many colors with which we are living in this world, now it depends on us which color we choose and spend the whole life.

Outcomes of my Research

So my outcome painting of the project is we all have a particular nature or wisdom with whom we are living and that wisdom comes from our intuition. There are number of ways which are bright, dark, dangerous lovable. But there is some spiritual energy which makes us to move in particular way. The sublime feeling which can not be describe in words.

Thus from this outcome painting I want to express that life is full of color, and that certain feeling of our life is driven by..No one knows where it is taking us. we are just going deeper and deeper in this with all our emotions, pain, good and bad feelings.

•I took inspiration from Kazimir Malevich Black Square painting and Ad Reinhardt’s abstract painting no 5 and made this painting.•According to me the yellow color and black shade within the yellow shows the negativity surrounded by high amount of positivity which are going in a dark square which is an unknown part of life, it depends on us that what we feel in black square.. Is it positivity or negativity?
