Mishell VuoloMy practical experience began on the desert plains of Las Vegas
where, for ten years, I owned and operated my own business building custom homes. Having an understanding of how spaces are built, and evolve overtime, has given me an edge as a designer. Understanding which brilliant ideas can be realized within reason is truly priceless. Since relocating to the Northeast in 2010, I’ve honed my skills at Parsons The New School for Design, and acquired extensive experience in retail design and display construction. Early on, while responsible for precisely executing someone else’s vision, I learned the importance of The Brand and that the magic is in the details.

I believe in staying true to the original space and architecture, and listening to what it needs to be current and special. Remaining sensitive to lifestyle and function, I redefine spaces, folding old things in with the new and always implementing the unexpected. It’s the surprises that make a particular space original, exciting and quintessentially me.
