Call to Worship Hymn 426 We sing the praise of him who died Welcome and Announcements Prayers and Lord’s Prayer Children’s Address Hymn 210 I’m special Following the hymn Little Fishes is available for children aged between 0 – 3 years old. Little Fishes is supervised so parents may return into the church service. Children (3-11 years) may leave for Kingfishers. We follow a programme of Bible teaching, activities include storytelling, art and craft, prayers as well as songs. We help the children learn about Jesus and grow in their faith in a fun way. Young people (Year 8 – Year 10) may leave for “Disciples” an interactive program helping our Young Teens to find their place in our church Family. Older Teens (Year 11-14) are encouraged to remain in the service and worship with the congregation. Reading The cross is foretold - Isaiah 53:3 - 8 CHOIR Is it nothing to you - Ouseley Is it nothing to you all ye that pass by? Behold and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of hi fierce anger. Reading The anointing at Bethany - Mark 14:1 - 6 CHOIR Drop, drop slow tears – (Song 46) Gibbons Drop, drop, slow tears, And bathe those beauteous feet, Which brought from Heav’n The news and Prince of Peace. Cease not, wet tears, His mercies to entreat; To cry for vengeance: Sin doth never cease. In your deep floods Drown all my faults and fears; Nor let His eye see Sin, but through my tears.

Reading Jesus is betrayed - Mark 14 :32 - 36, 43 - 46 CHOIR The King of Love - arr Rutter The King of love my Shepherd is, Whose goodness faileth never; I nothing lack if I am his And he is mine for ever. Where streams of living water flow My ransomed soul he leadeth, And where the verdant pastures grow With food celestial feedeth. Perverse and foolish oft I strayed, But yet in love he sought me, And on his shoulder gently laid, And home, rejoicing, brought me. In death's dark vale I fear no ill With thee, dear Lord, beside me; Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy cross before to guide me. Thou spread'st a table in my sight; Thy unction, grace bestoweth: And O what transport of delight From thy pure chalice floweth! And so through all the length of days Thy goodness faileth never; Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise Within thy house for ever. Reading Jesus is tried and mocked - Matthew 26: 57 - 67 CHOIR The mocking of Christ – (Third mode melody) Tallis To mock your reign, O dearest Lord, they made a crown of thorns; set you with taunts along that road from which no one returns. They could not know as we do now, that glorious is your crown; that thorns would flower upon your brow, your sorrows heal our own.

In mock acclaim, O gracious Lord, they snatched a purple cloak, your passion turned, for all they cared, into a soldier's joke. They could not know, as we do now, that though we merit blame you will your robe of mercy throw around our naked shame. A sceptered reed, O patient Lord, They thrust into your hand, and acted out their grim charade to its appointed end. They could not know, as we do now, though empires rise and fall, your Kingdom shall not cease to grow till love embraces all. Reading Jesus is crucified – Matthew 27: 33 - 44 Hymn 424 There is a green hill and Offering (Please remain standing as the stewards bring the offering forward) Reading The power of the cross - Philippians 2: 5 -11 CHOIR Jubilate in Bb, Stanford O be joyful in the Lord all ye lands serve the Lord with gladness and come before his presence with a song. Be ye sure that the Lord he is God; it is he that hath made us and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. O go your way into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and speak good of his Name. For the Lord is gracious; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth from generation to generation. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen. [Ant.]

The Passion Walk is an individual reflectivejourney through the streets of central Belfast, where the city itself becomes the backdrop for the story of Christ’s Passion. Walking with an audio guide and pausing at certain key locations, you will be invited to enter into the events of Jesus’ final hours. The first Easter took place in a busy, complex city where most people werepreoccupied with their own concerns. ThePassion Walk is an invitation to experience the story in a new way, and perhaps to see the cityin a new light.

You are invited to begin your journey at Grosvenor House, 5 Glengall Street (behind the Opera House) any time between 10am and 1pm on Friday 25th or Saturday 26th of March. Make your urban pilgrimage at your own pace, alone or with friends, and complete the journey with refreshments and a space for further reflection at The Dock Café in Titanic Quarter. We ask all walkers to book in advance on our websitewww.passionwalk.org. There is a charge of £5(£3 unwaged) to help cover costs.
