1. Museum Street transitions from city street with
parking to wide open space with little definition to
major street / hospital entrance;
2. There is no sense of stopping the movement to
create a restful contained space to meet, rest + enter
the park and museums;

4. A secondary route to the elevated promenade, farm
building + high street doesn’t exist;
5. The Collection building will add a new scale of
building to the view. Trees in the foreground will play
an important role in making it recede;

3. The level changes will always act as a deterrent to
frequent popular use;

street;

1. The Westzeedijk presents a major 5m high barrier
/engineered form to the park;
2. The ramped route is dominated by access + parking;
3. The rear wall of the monument isolates the church
area of the park giving a back of house feel;
4. The narrow but most important path in the park ends
in a service bay;
