They played competitively and should be very proud of their contribution to the team. UNDER 8s’ DAY TOMORROW Organisers and children are looking forward to an enjoyable morning tomorrow. There will be a wide range of activities for Under 8s from 9am to 11am so please tell your friends and bring “littlies” along to join the fun. There will be a coffee (for the not so littlies) and cake stall. Any donations of cooking for this stall would be greatly appreciated. WIDE BAY UNDER 19 AND UNDER 12 CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL We would like to wish the following students every success at the Wide Bay trials next Tuesday in Maryborough: Georgette Emmerton, Ivy Wernecke, Jack Enchelmaier, Jayden Minty, Raymond Loakes, Sophie Zipf and Jordan Parr. PRIMARY INTERHOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL High jump and 200m heats will once again be held during lessons and lunch breaks before the carnival on 17 June. Below is the proposed timetable for these events. Friday 10 June 9-12 years 200m finals 12.40pm Monday 13 June 11 years high jump 8.40am 12 years high jump 12.40pm Tuesday 14 June 10 years high jump 10.20am 9 years high jump 12.40pm Parents and grandparents are welcome to come as spectators at these times. FREE DRESS DAY—TOMORROW 29th MAY —Gold coin donation requested. Supporting Under Eights’ Day and student council’s chosen charity. Students are invited to wear appropriate non-uniform clothing.

PRIMARY FRIDAY SPORT TIMES Please note that Primary Friday sport classes are held after morning tea during Terms 2 and 3, and before morning tea during terms 1 and 4. This is in response to temperature and dew conditions. CRAFT CLUB Interested students are welcome to join the action at craft club each Thursday lunchtime in the Prep classroom. Future crafts will be pet monster rocks, angry bird paper plates, crushed can kitties and book week monster marks. INVOICES Invoices regarding outstanding levies have been distributed by email or hard copy. These do show credits for camp payments received. EFTPOS AVAILABLE We are pleased to advise that EFTPOS payment for school fees and levies can now be accepted at the school office. This does not extend to P & C operations such as tuckshop or uniform payments which will continue to be by cash or cheque. INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC Gig Guide: TOMORROW – Under 8s Day 6th August – Pet Show “GREASE” DVDs AND PHOTOS DVDs of our recent production of “Grease” are now available from the office for $10 each. It has come to our attention that the first batch of DVDs was missing a scene. So, if you have already purchased a copy (more than a week ago), please return it and we will replace it with a complete one. Students that participated in the musical are encouraged to collect photos of the musical from Mrs McGovern. Students will need to provide a USB stick. ENGLISH TUTORING English tutoring will now be available alongside Maths tutoring on a Monday afternoon. Any students with homework, assessment or who would just like some extra help are welcome to attend. Mrs McGovern will be running these sessions. BOOK WEEK When: 20th to 24th June. Costume Parade: 8.40am Friday 24th June. This year we are celebrating Book Week with the theme, “Monsters”.

PRIMARY INTERHOUSE SPORT Last week the year 3s and 4s played soccer. Leichhardt defeated Burnett , scoring 4-0 and Stuart-Russell defeated O’Regan 3-0. Best and Fairest player awards went to Baxter W, Noah, Oliveti and Charlysa. Last week the year 5s and 6s played netball. Burnett tied with Leichhardt, scoring 3 all and O’Regan defeated Stuart-Russell 3-2. Best and Fairest player awards went to Lanie, Henry, Tyson and Krystal The previous week the year 3s and 4s played soccer. O’Regan defeated Burnett, scoring 3-0 and Stuart-Russell defeated Leichhardt 1-0. Best and Fairest player awards went to Holly, Aidan B, Noah and Elyh. That week the year 5s and 6s played netball. Stuart-Russell defeated Leichhardt , scoring 4-2 and Burnett defeated O’Regan 3-2. Best and Fairest player awards went to Hannah, Lane, Ivy and Troy.
