• Our traditional understanding of intelligence is that our ability to learn and do things occur at the same cognitive capacity.
• Alfred Binet, designed a test to analyze a child’s intelligence.
The IQ Test
Designed to show a student’s weakness.
American schools started using it to rank students.
Average score 100
Gifted score 131+

Scholastic Aptitude Test
• Measurement of Raw Intelligence.
• Used by nearly every college in America.

• Lots of versions of this test.
Howard Gardner
• Graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
• Created the Multiple Intelligence theory in 1983.

• A different way to look at the intellect.
• Rather then ask “How Smart Are You”?

The number of Multiple Intelligence range from 8 – 10, most people have 3 to 4 that are stronger then the others.
