Heartificial IntelligenceEmbracing Our Humanity to Maximize Our Machines
John C. Havensjohnchavens.com / @johnchavens
There’s two types of AI (Artificial Intelligence)One called, “Strong,” the other, “Weak.”
It’s when machines gain sentience that devastation they could wreak.
That’s why Friendly AI
Is so important to evolve.
So here’s my suggestion for this
problem we should solve.
It’s not about welcoming our
overlords, or living in fear.
We need to measure what we love and hold most dear.
Embrace Humanity.Celebrate what’s unique
between us and machines.
While Artificial Intelligence is peachy keen,
We need to live more from the heart and be Genuine.
Wearable sensors, geeky eyeglasses, too.
As Big Data keeps getting bigger, What happens to me and you?
As machines take our jobs,
Automation on the rise,
If devices do so much for us,
what’s left for us to prize?
The human interface, it’s pretty simple, don’t you see?
Find your purpose in helping others, That’s the psychology.
So my friends, I salute you, what you do is quite profound.
In between machines and people you provide safe middle
ground.
IT Professionals, to you my thanks are due.
When it comes to your hearts and minds, nothing takes the place of you.
Embrace HumanIT.Embrace HumanIT.
While Artificial Intelligence is peachy keen,
We need to live more from the heart and be Genuine.
PLEASE NOTE
While I say “IT Professionals,” this is shorthand for all of the amazing
attendees here today, including anyone in Data Center, AV, Facilities, Real Estate,
Construction Managers, Project Managers, CEO’s, CTO’s, and CFO’s.
I pander without judgment.
Also, “HumanIT” fit the song better than the whole list.
Embrace HumanIT.Embrace HumanIT.Embrace HumanIT.Embrace HumanIT.
While Artificial Intelligence is peachy keen,
We need to live more from the heart and be Genuine.
I like humans.
I like machines.
