    Factor 1. Idealized Influence indicates whether you holdsubordinates trust, maintain their faith and respect, show dedicationto them, appeal to their hopes and dreams, and act as their rolemodel.

    Factor 2Inspirational Motivation measures the degree to whichyou provide a vision, use appropriate symbols and images to helpothers focus on their work, and try to make others feel their work issignificant.

    Factor 3Intellectual Stimulation shows the degree to which youencourage others to be creative in looking at old problems in newways, create an e4nvironment that is tolerant of seemingly extremepositions, and nurture people to question their own values and beliefsand those of the organization.

    Factor 4 Individualized Consideration indicates the degree towhich you show interest in others well-being, assign projectindividually, and pay attention to those who seem less involved in thegroup.

    Factor 5Contingent Reward shows the degree to which you tellothers what to do in order to be rewarded, emphasize what you expectfrom them, and recognize their accomplishments.

    Factor 6 Management-By-Exception assesses whether you tellothers the job requirements, are content with standard performance,

    and are a believer in if it aint broke, dont fix it.

    Factor 7Laissez-Faire measures whether you require little of others,are content to let things ride, and let others do their own thing.

To be efficient and effective -Leadership in lower management requires to be high in technical skillsand at least moderate in human skills. Leadership in middlemanagement requires at least moderate in technical and human skills.Upper management requires to be moderate in technical skills andhigh in both human and conceptual skills.
