ATTENTIONTRANSPORT SECURITY SCREWSBefore operating car sound system, ensure that the transport security screwshave been removed (see the chapter"Installation instructions").

ATTACH/DETACH CONTROL PANELThe car sound system is equipped with adetachable control panel (release panel) toprotect your equipment against theft. The control panel is in the supplied provided during delivery. To start operating the radioafter installation, you must �rst attach thecontrol panel (see the section "Attachingthe control panel" in this chapter). Always take the control panel with you when leaving the vehicle.

CAUTIONDAMAGE TO CONTROL PANELNever drop the control panel.Protect the control panel during transporta-tion to avoid encountering with impacts and dirt. Do not expose the control panel to direct sunlight or high temperature.Avoid direct skin contact with the controlpanel's electrical parts.

OPERATING DEVICE

Attach control panelPush the control panel into the bracketfrom the right corner of the device.Push the control panel carefully into theleft bracket until it clicks.

Remove control panelPress the button (24) to unlock thecontrol panel.The left side of the control panel will detachfrom the device and is secured by thebracket against falling out.Move the control panel slightly to the leftuntil it disengages from the rightbracket.Carefully remove the control panel fromthe left bracket.

Note:The car sound system automaticallyswitches o� as soon as the controlpanel is removed

BEEP ON/OFF : The car audio device isequipped with 2 beep tone modes. Rotatethe volume knob to choose one.-

EUROPE/USA/LAT : Rotate the volume toselect the region EUROPE or USA or LAT.

EQ (Equalization)Press to select the preset EQ mode shown below:

LOUDNESSPress and hold the EQ button for 2 secondsto activate the LOUD function. Press andhold to cancel the function.

DISPLAY INFORMATIONPress the DISP button (7) to show clock for 5 seconds.

TIME SETTINGPress and hold the DISP button for 2 seconds to adjust time setting. Began setting when �ashing digits appear. Press / to set the hour. Then press DISP button to change to minutes and use / to adjust. Finally press SEL button to con�rm

AUXILIARY INPUTThe unit can be connected to a portableaudio player using the AUX IN jack (10).

OPERATIONTURN THE UNIT ON/OFFTurn on the unit by pressing the button.Press and hold the button (2) for 2 seconds to turn o� the unit.

SOUND ADJUSTMENTPress the SEL button (21) to select the desired adjustment mode. The adjustment mode changes in the following order:

Rotate the audio knob (21) for desired sound quality. Press and hold the SEL button (21) for 2 seconds for system menu.Press SEL button (repeatedly ) :

TA volume:It will broadcast tra�c announcement with minimum volume. The adjustable range is 20 - 43. The default value is 25. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the desired volume.

LOC ON/OFF : Rotate the audio knob (21)to turn local function on/o�. In LOC ONmode, the unit reduces the receivingsensitivity when you search for stations.In this case, only strong signal stations will be received. Search stations receiving sensitivity will be increased in LOC OFF mode, this will allow unit to receive more stations.

STEREO/MONO : Rotate the audio knob (21) to choose STEREO or MONO mode. Tune into STEREO mode to receive FM signals. Switching to MONO helps to reduce noise when signal is poor.

Select frequency bandIn radio mode, press the BAND button(13) to select the desired band.The reception band changes in thefollowing order: -> FM1 -> FM2 -> FM3 -> MW1(AM1) -> MW2(AM2) ->

Select stationPress the button (11) or button (6) toactivate automatic search function. It willautomatically search for a station. To selectmanual tuning, press the buttons for 2seconds until “MANUAL” appears on thedisplay. In this mode, you can scanfrequencies up or down until stations arelocated. If both buttons are not pressed for5 seconds, display will return to seek tuningmode and “AUTO” will appears on thedisplay.

OPERATION

Press TS button (3) for 2 seconds to startsearching from 87.5MHz frequency andcheck the signal strength until one cyclesearch is completed. Radio will store 6stations with the strongest signal under FM3preset number buttons. It scans at LOCAL ONmode for strongest signal stations duringthe �rst cycle. If less than 18 stations arelocated, it will scan in LOCAL OFF mode in thesecond cycle.

Program scanningPress the TS button (3) to scan preset stations.The radio will stop at a preset number for 5seconds. Press the TS button again to stop the scanning.

Storing a stationTo store a station, press one of the presetbuttons (1-6) for 2 seconds. The currentstation will be stored under the pressednumber button. Press the preset button (1-6)to listen to the station that was saved underthe corresponding preset button.

Setting RDS modePress the AF button (22) to turn on or o�.“AF” symbol will appear on the display,when its turned on. The program name willbe displayed when receiving RDS station.AF on the display will be blinking when thebroadcasting signal weaken.

Regional Program OperationWhen AF function is on, press & hold the AFbutton (22) for several seconds to switchregion mode on or o�. Some stations willchange their program from normalbroadcasting to regional broadcasting for acertain period. When Region is on, the currentprogram remain unchanged. When Regionis o�, it allows reception to move to theregional station.

Listening to Tra�c AnnouncementsPress the TA button to activate the TAfunction.When TA mode is on and a tra�cannouncement is transmitted / when theunit is in CD (MP3), USB, SD or AUX IN mode,it will temporarily switch to radio mode.It temporarily switches to an EON linkedstation when EON detects tra�cannouncement on the other program.If the volume level is below the thresholdpoint, it will be raised to the thresholdpoint. If the current volume level is higherthan the threshold point (min. TA volumelevel), it will be set to the last level.

TA interruption functionCancel the current tra�c announcement bypressing on the button. But TA mode willnot be turned o�.

EJECT DISCPress the button (8) to stop playing disc and eject the disc from the disc slot (4).

SELECT FILES WITH BUTTON

USB PLAY OPERATIONWhen you connect a USB media, the unit will search the MP3/ WMA �les and start to play them. In any other mode, you can also press the SRC button to select USB mode. When playing MP3/WMA �les in the device, the operation is similar to CD/MP3/WMA operation as described earlier.

OPERATION

The respective audio source can beselected only if a corresponding CDis inserted or a corresponding deviceis connected.If the car sound system has to read thedata of the connected device datacarrier before the playback, the displaywill show "READING". The duration ofthe reading depends on the datavolume and design of the device ordata carrier. If the device or data carrieris defective or the transferred datacannot be played back, a correspondingmessage will appear on the display(e. g. "USB ERROR")

Search from folderPress the button to enter “Searchingfrom folder” mode. Rotate the VOL knobto select the desired folder. Next, pressthe knob (21) to enter the folder. Rotatethe knob to select the desired �le. Thenpress the knob again to play �le. Pressingthe button allows you to return to theprevious folder.

Search �le numberPress button twice. It will activate the“Search �le number” mode. Rotate theknob (21) to select the �le number, thenpress the knob to con�rm. The unit willsearch the selected �le to play. The unitwill searche track after few seconds, evenif the knob (21) is not pressed

When installing ampli�er, �rst connect thedevice ground connections before connectingthe plugs for the line-out jacks.Ground connection of external devices maynot be connected to ground of car soundsystem (housing).

Disconnect the negative terminal of thebattery (Refer to vehicle manufacturer’ssafety instructions).Be wary to not damage vehicle componentswhen drilling holes.

Make sure you do not damage vehiclecomponents when drilling any holes.

The cross sections of the positive and negativecables must not be less than 1.5 mm2.

Do not connect the vehicle’s plug connectorsto the radio!
