Action PlanDear Member of Parliament,

My name is Mudit Janbandhu; I am 15 years old and was on Nov 15 1995. I would like talk to you about African Grey Parrots in the Exotic Bird Trade. The exotic bird trade is trade deal where sellers would go into Africa, South America, and other exotic places where the bird seller(s) would find exotic birds. The exotic bird trade of African Grey Parrots is not a good thing because when the parrot is caught, the parrot will have a lot of much stress about what the man is going to do to the bird; eat it, sell it, kill it for feathers for sale. These are the type of things an African Grey Parrot will have stress on. On top of that, the parrot's stress can lead to death, meaning the bird's destination will not survive the flight. The current rate of African Grey Parrot is decreasing because of the Exotic Bird Trade, birds entering Canada or any other continents should be stopped.

Geographic Range/ Population-Trend/ System

African Grey Parrots can be found in 25 African Countries.

African Countries include Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Liberia, and other African Countries

Parrots global population is 680 000 to 13million, this is why because these birds are used in the Exotic Bird Trade

And these birds are Terrestrial

Major Threat(s)

The one major threat in African Grey Parrots is that they are dealt with the Exotic bird trade.

And these birds don’t last through the trip due to their stress

Classification African Grey Parrot Chordate because

the spinal cord acts as a central nervous system/ brain's messenger and relay its message from brain to muscles, corresponds the body part to move

Other animals found in Phylum Chordate

-Fish its spinal chord ( vertebrae) of fish is connected to the skull to the spine arecalled Atlas and Axis, as in all vertebrae'sIts bones including its spinal are completely calcified, and gives structure, provides protection and assists in swimming leverage

Chimp - The spinal chord function on chimps makes us stand and is also a central nervous system to the chimps of when to move

Giraffe -its spinal chord is connected to the neck and is long enough to reach high trees that are not reachable by other animals

Personal Response Part 1.

Biodiversity is all the living things on Earth. Living things include bacteria, fungi, animals, and plants Biodiversity is important because the greater the biodiversity is that makes species and systems more resilient, there are losses of biodiversity which weakens them, making them more vulnerable to extinction. Extinction in animals or plants is a bad thing because you are removing selected specie from its Taxa; Taxa created by Carolus Linnaeus indentified animals and putted them in a category where they belong in, example, African Grey Parrot belongs in Chordate since the African Grey Parrot has a Spinal Chord which acts as central nervous system for movement of the bird.

Personal Response Part 2.

Extinction is also a good thing because the last of the Species cells will have chance to go under mitosis cell division. Once this cell dies out, the new cell will then take its place and go into cell division. Once it reaches a number of cells, this will create the new base life of the new form of species to form. And then genetic and evolution diversity begins from here. This happens because new cells are made from its pre-existing cell. Pre-existing is another way to say an old cell.

Personal Response Part 3.

Lastly biodiversity on Earth exists to know that we humans are living on a planet that is filled with all sorts of life; life includes animals, plants, fungi, and bacteria. Biodiversity is important because we humans are alive because of biodiversity.

Personal Response Part 4.

All the living things that have lived on earth from the past to present are here because of biodiversity. Biodiversity helped created life. Without biodiversity, life will not have been inhabited on earth present day. Biodiversity would mean nothing to humans because they do not care about the living things on Earth. Therefore biodiversity is important because of all the living things on Earth.
