The single port is comprised of a transmit coaxial cable connector and a receive coaxial cable connector.

• frame-based inverse multiplexing function, sometimes referred to as an IMUX
• FR to ATM network interworking or service interworking

• VR-to-VR IP VPNs on its PQC1 FPs

• If the timing signals from the CPs are lost, or if the FP is configured to have local timing, each FP port can free-run at 34.368 MHz +/-20 ppm (local). The free-run accuracy is +/- 20 ppm for the FP voltage control crystal oscillators (VCXOs).
