    Objective

    The course aims at providing engineers and

    allied professionals in-depth knowledge of

    modern and advanced techniques of ProjectManagement using Microsoft Project 2010.

    Purpose and Background

    This 3-day workshop is designed for program

    managers, project managers, resource managers,

    contract administrators, project controls managers,

    planners/schedulers, cost analysts, financial

    managers and scheduling software users to provide

    hands-on training for Microsoft Project based

    solution.

    TRAINERS PROFILE

    Dr. Rizwan U. Farooqui, is a Professor in theDepartment of Civil Engineering at NED Universityof Engineering and Technology in Karachi, Pakistan.He has a Ph.D. degree in Construction Engineering

    and Management from Florida InternationalUniversity in Miami, Florida, USA. He has over 14years of research, teaching and consultancyexperience in the USA, Pakistan, Singapore andEthiopia. Few of his major accomplishments include:development of the M. Eng. & B. Eng. Program inConstruction Engineering for NED University;development and implementation of a constructionprocess re-engineering model for constructionindustry in Ethiopia, successfully carrying out a Pak-US collaborative research grant forDevelopment of astrategic model for improvement of construction

    project management education, research andpractice in Pakistan (grant amount: $403,000 jointlyfunded by USAID, USA and MoST, Pakistan. Hehas over eighty (80) publications in peer reviewedjournals and refereed international conferences. Hismajor areas of interest include design-constructionintegration in the AEC industry, risk management,construction safety, construction claims, projectplanning and controls, cost engineering and control,total quality management, and sustainableconstruction. His training portfolio as related tocomputer aided project management includes

    professional training on Microsoft Project, PrimaveraP3 & P6, Primavera Suretrak, Primavera ContractsManager, Primavera Claims Digger, precisionDecision Tools, WinEstimator Pro, TimberlinePrecision, and Prolog Manager. To his credit, he hasmore than 5000 hours of undergraduate and graduateteaching and more than 600 hours of corporatetraining at national and international levels.
