M rs. Penny Valle joined Etowah High as an Assistant Principal for our 2012-13 school year. In addition to leading the Special Educa- tion and Math departments, she oversees the Technology/BYLD and Attendance Committees. This school year, she will facilitate the new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Committee to offer more career pathways and pursue Georgia High School STEM Certification. Her background and experience in Technology, Mathe- matics, Special Education Administration, and as Graduation Specialist have made her a remarkable fit for Eagle Mountain. Mrs. Valle received her Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. She worked as a computer analyst, manager and consultant for several years. Later, she left the corporate world to return to school and become a teacher. Mrs. Valle received a Masters of Education and an Educational Specialist degree from the University of West Georgia. Then in 2007, she completed her Educational Leadership Certification from Kennesaw State University. Additionally, she has Gifted and ESOL endorsements and speaks Span- ish. Originally from Holly Springs, Mrs. Valle continues to live, work, and serve in her home county. She is involved in community service and she teaches swimming lessons during the summer weeks. Her favorite quote is, “A hundred years from now it may not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove (Prius)… but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.” Caption describing picture or graphic. M rs. Penny Valle joined Etowah High as an Assistant Principal for
