1. (c) In Basketbatt, the sports achievements in the event conducted by Basketball Federation oflndia or its affiliated units after 28-03-2015, shall not be considered for recruitment, incentives andall other establishment matters, till further order. All the championships mentioned above should have been conducted under the aegis ofrecognized lnternational/National/State Sports Federations and also recognized by Railway SportsPromotion Board (RSPB).

All the recruitment against Open Advertisement Quota shall be at the minimum of thescale of pay.

5. PERIOD OF RECKONING SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS:

For recruitment against sports quota, recognised sports achievements should be in the current and/or immediate previous two financial years and sports persons should be an active player. Therefore,the sports achievements on or after 01 .04.2014 are only considered.

6. AGE LIMIT (As on 01-01-20171.

Those applying for Group 'G' posts in Pay Band-{ Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.280012400 and Rs.{900/2000/- (Vl CPC): The candidate must have attained the age of 18years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 01.01 .2017 i.e. must have beenborn not eartier than 02nd January 1992 and not later than 01"1January, 1999. No agerelaxation is permissible.

NOTEl:The candidates should note that, only the Date of Birth as recorded in theMatriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate ason the date of submission of applicatioris will be accepted by the administrationand no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

NOTE2: The candidates should also note that, once a Date of Birth has been claimed bythem and entered in the records of the Administration for the purpose ofadmission to the examination, no change witt be allowed subsequently on anygrounds whatsoever.

7. EXAMINATION FEE/ EXEMPTIONS:

(i) The examination fee for all : Rs.500/-candidates except those (Five Hundred only)mentioned in para (ii) below

(ii) For candidates belonging to : Rs. 250/- (Two Hundred and Fifty only)SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with a provision for refunding the same towith disabilities (PWDs), Women, thosewho actually appear in the writtenMinorities and Economically examination.Backward Classes

NOTE 3:Minorities will mean Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zorastrians(Parsis).

NOTE 4:Economically Backward Classes will mean the candidates whose family income isless than Rs.50,0001 per annum. The following authorities are authorized to issueincome certificate for the purpose of identifying economically backward classes

(a) District Magistrate or any other revenue officer up to the level of Tahasildar.(b) Sitting Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha for persons of their own

constituency.(c) BPL card or any other certificate issued by the Central Government under a

recognized poverty alleviation programme or lzzat MST issued by Railways.(d) Union Minister may also recommend to Chairman/RRBs/RRCs for any persons

from anywhere in the country.(e) Sitting Members of Parliament of Rajya Sabha for persons of the district in

which these MPs normally reside.(0 The income certificate issued by the authorities mentioned above would have to

be in the format prescribed at Annexure-ll which is available on South WesternRailway Website. This would have to be issued on the letter head of the issuingauthority.

The examination fee should be paid in the form of crossed lndian Postal Order (lPO) only,from any Post office drawn in favour of Asst. Personnel Officer/Rectt, South WesternRailway, Hubli, payable at Hubli.

Remittance of examination fee in any other form except lndian Postal Order will not beaccepted.

(a) lPOs issued before the date of issue of Employment notice or after the closing datewill not be accepted and the application will be rejected.

(b) The particulars of lndian Postal Order submitted as examination fee should also beindicated at the prescribed place in the application form.

(c) Candidates must write their name, full address in the space provided in the lndianPostal Order.

(d) The examination fee in the cases of Candidates under para 7(i) above is notrefundable/transferable/adjustable under any circumstances.

HOW TO APPLY:

Candidates should carefully read all the instructions given in the employment notificationbefore filling the application form.

Application as per the prescribed format shall be submitted on A-4 size good qualitypaper. The Application can also be downloaded from the website of Railway RecruitmentCell, Hubli (www.rrchubli.in) The application should be filled in English/Hindilanguage only. The applications written in other than English/Hindi languages willbe rejected.

The application should be filled by the candidate in his/her own handwriting and signed.

The candidate has to affix/paste (not to be pinned) one recent passport size colorphotograph without cap & without coloured glasses (not older than three months), dulyattested by signing partially on the application and partially on the photo in the spaceprovided for the purpose. Candidate is also required to enclose one extra passport sizephotograph (same as the one affixed/pasted on the application) along with the application.

The applicationshould reach the Addressee on or before 19-12-2016.

For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram,Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spriti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweepislands and the candidates residing abroad, the closing date for receipt of applications bypost will be 03-01-2017.

10. RECRUITMENT PROCESS:The recruitment will be based on trials, assessment of sports achievements etc. Thecandidates who are found fit in trails only will be considered for next stage.

11. MEDICALEXAMINATION:The Candidates recommended for appointment will have to pass the requisite medicalfitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates areMedically FIT to carry out the duties connectbd with the post. Only those candidates whoare Medically FIT would be empanelled for appointment.

12. GENERAL GONDITIONS:

12.1 Before applying to the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils all the eligibilityconditions.

12.2 The name and initial of the candidate and fathe/s name appearing in school/collegecertificates and in sports certificates should be one and the same. There should be nodifference.

12.3 The specific position (100/200 Mtrs run/ 110m Hurdles/40O Mtr Run/3000 M SteepleChase/5000/10000 M Run/20 Km WalULong Jump/ High Jump/Decathlon/ Attacker/Blocker/PivoU Fonrvard/ 50, 100 & 200 mtrs Breast Stroke/4OO, 800 & 1500 mtrs FreeStyle/Singles/ Doubles) played in the particular game/event if applicable should bementioned in the application without fail.

12.4 The candidates serving in any Government Department or Public Sector Undertakingincluding Railways should apply through proper channel or should apply directly with NOOBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer to avoid delay. Advance copy of theapplication from such candidates without 'No Objection Certificate' from the employerwill not be entertained. Please note that no application received after the prescribed datewill be entertained.

12.5 The decision of the Railway Administration in all matters relating to eligibilig, acceptanceor rejection of the application, penalty for false information and mode of selection shall befinal and binding on the candidates.

12.6 The applicant is liable to be appointed against any suitable post in Pay Band - t Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 280012400 or Grade Pay Rs. 1900/2000/- (Vl CPC) as thecase may be, anywhere on South Western Railway.

12.7 Candidates will have to undergo prescribed training course as applicable for the post asper existing instructions.

12.8 Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature.

12.9 The candidates should be in readiness to appear for the trials at short notice after the lastdate for submission of application is over. Please check the website of RRC, Hubli atwww.rrchubli.in for getting the information regarding eligibility list, trials, etc.

12.10 The candidates are required to obtain caste certificates in the prescribed proforma fromthe appropriate authority and produce the original certificate at the time of verification. Thecandidates submitting Caste Certificates issued by the authorities other than thoseauthorised, such certificates will not be considered. (Format of Gaste Gertificate forSC/ST candidates in Annexure-A and OBC candidates in Annexure -B areavailable on the website of Railway Recruitment Cell, South Western Railwaywww.rrchubli.in).

12.11 No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trials. Applicantswill have to bring their own kit. They may also be required to stay during the selection for

. 2-3 days, for which they have to make their own arrangements. The RailwayAdministration have all the rights reserved to fix any date, as deemed suitable, changeplace or postpone trials (as its own convenience), or even cancel trials due to unforeseencircumstances against which no claim will be accepted. Selected candidates will beposted anywhere on South Western Railway.

12.12 Candidates applying for more than one game/event shall submit separate applicationswith separate IPO as fee and documents for each event.

12.13 Sports persons having sports norms for higher Grade Pay and applied against thevacancies for the lower Grade Pay can be considered. However, he/she will not claim forhigher Grade Pay after joining the Railways on the basis of sports achievements prior tojoining Railways.

12.14 Selected candidates will have to submit 'Service Bond' of 5 years at the time ofappointment.

12.15 Sports person recruited against sports quota shall be terminated from service observingrequisite procedure, if the information and documents furnished by him/her for recruitment,are found incorrecUfake at any stage.

Candidates are advised not to bring any valuable/costly items at the timeof trials, as safe-keeping of these items cannot be assured.Administration will not be responsible for any loss in this reqard.

13 ENCLOSURES:

13.1 The following enclosures should be mandatorily attached along with the application form.(lf the certificates are in a language other than English/Hindi, translation inEnglish/Hindi should also be enclosed, duly translated by an authorized translator).

13.2 Self attested/attested copies of Certificates in proof of academic qualification.

14. INVALID APPLICATIONS: Applications with the following short comings will besummarily rejected.

14.1 Applications which are not in the prescribed format.

14.2 Applications without Signature and Left Hand Thumb impression (LTl must be clear andnot smudged).

14.3 Applications which are not in English/Hindi language.

14.4 Applications without proof of age (as per para 13.3), educitionat qualification, sportscertificates, community certificate as per para 12.10 (if any relaxation is claimed).

14.5 Applications without prescribed examination fee, in the form of Crossed lndian PostalOrders.

14.6 Applications without photographs (signed across) affixed/pasted.

14.7 Applications received after closing date.

14.8 Application not addressed to the concerned office/officer as indicated at para 9.1.

15. Candidates are also advised to furnish/enclose the following: -

(a) One extra Photo.

(b) Details as per Annexure - I to the application.

(c) Self attested/attested copies of certificates in proof of age, educationalqualification, Sports certificates, community (if any relaxation is claimed) etc., asadvised in para 13.1 to 13.6 above.

16. RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL'S DECISION FINAL: The decision of RRC/SWR/UBLin all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, issue of free railpasses, penalty for false information, allotment of posts/places to selected candidates and allother matters related with conduct of recruitment process will be final and binding on thecandidates, and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.

17. CAUTION

Beware of Touts and job racketeers trying to deceive you by false promises of securingjob in Railways either through influence or by use of unfair or unethical means. Candidates will beselected purely as per merit. Please beware of unscrupulous elements and do not fall in their trap.
