Focus Lesson: …Rap Artist! Divide into groups of 3. In order to receive full credit for this project,

each group must: Decide upon a specific theme which is class

appropriate. Contain class appropriate images and language. Be at least 30” in length.

Jay-Z video Why is poetry (rap) important? Why learn to write it at all??

Small Groups Decide on a theme. Agree on 10 images (sights and sounds associated

with theme) Begin putting the images into lyrics.
